I guess most of you that have ordered recently have noticed that the cost for shipping 5-packs has gone up again to $5.95 per 5-pack. It has always been that if you are participating in the Shipping Savings Program, the cost of additional 5-packs has been $.50 per pack, regardless as whether the 5-pack was won from the Quickies Category or the actual 5-Pack Category. I checked my previous orders and this has been consistent. My latest order has indicated that the cost of addition 5-packs purchased from the Quickies Category is now $1.00 per additional 5-pack. So, as a heads up, those of you using the Shipping Savings Program, after the first 5-pack won from the Quickies Category, the cost of additional 5-packs is twice as much when purchased from the Quickies Category. The cost of additional 5-packs from the 5 -Pack Category remains the same at $.50 per pack.

Good to know. Anyone who buys a lot of 5-packs in the Quickies section should be prepared to bend over.

Peculiar shipping pricing decisions have always been a pet peeve of mine...like a buck a piece for FreeFail singles...really? wtf?

I am still seeing this when looking at shipping charges from withing in the Quickie category

Singles Category: $0.25
5-Packs Category: $0.50
Boxes Category: $1.00
Merchandise Category: $1.00
Samplers Category: $1.00
Free Fall Category: $1.00
All Others: $1.00

I would complain. There is no "quickie" category listed and the only reasonable interpretation of what is on the site is that the 5'ers should be an additional .50. If they are saying that this is "other" it should say "other/quickie" or something like that.

That being said, the prices on most quickie auctions have been way to high for me to bid on anyway recently.

Again, I apologize for any inconvenience. As explained earlier, shipping is calculated based on category. If the 5 pack is in the Quickies category, then shipping is $1. If the 5 pack is in the 5-pack category, then shipping is $.50. For the "almost" ten years that I have been here, it has been like this.

The All Others category is all the other categories not listed. Such as Quickies, Specials, Quickbuy, etc. these are considered the All Others category.

In regards to the shipping savings program and the categories, the additional price per item has not changed.

On my last order I may have been overcharged for shipping, but there is no way to tell unless the category is clearly indicated.

The shipping charge list should clearly state where "quickie" purchases fall and how much you will get charged for them, if not it is very misleading.

The Shipping Policy located in the help section has this.

Singles Category: $0.25
5-Packs Category: $0.50
Boxes Category: $1.00
Merchandise Category: $1.00
Samplers Category: $1.00
Free Fall Category: $1.00
All Others: $1.00

Any other category not listed, falls into others.

Before you bid on an item, directly above the picture it states the category you are bidding on.

Our apologies. I’m not sure what else we can add to make it clearer.

You can simply add a "quickie category." Anyone seeing the above would rightfully think that a 5-pack purchased via a quickie auction is .50

Really?
Gonna complain about cbid shipping prices and policies?

Shipping prices and policies have been a SAD JOKE here for many many many many years!
The fact that a 5-pack ships for .50 when called this, or for $1.00 when called that..................is quite simply stealing money.

Now in da olden days, dis was tolerated, cause dey had good ceegars at good prices.
Now??
Yeah...

The reason it is easy to confuse things with quickies is that a quickie auction can be anything. 5-packs, merch, boxes, samplers, anything. So - since quickies are not mentioned in the shipping lists - it is reasonable for a person to assume when looking at the combined shipping page that "I bought a 5-pack so this must be a '5-pack shipping category'" that I purchased via a quickie auction

The simple and easy solution is to either have a "qucikie" catagory in the shipping list or after "other" describe better what you mean. For example "Other (quickie, sampler, specials, etc)"

afraid that you're wasting your breath, midmo.....I've been a very strong supporter of the cbid CS ladies for over a decade. But, for no apparent reason, they've all had a blind spot on shipping charges.

No matter how many people express dislike for the amount....or confusion on pricing structure......or suggest better ways to present the prices....or try to explain why something about it confuses them....they always get defensive and say something about how it couldn't be more explicit or fair...it isn't as though this a brand new 'complaint'

Good point, but I have a lot of breath to waste this week, taking a cigar break while babysitting grand-daughter! :)

A 5-pack is a 5-pack, except when it isn't, when it's a Quickie. So, according to Cbid, it must cost as much to send multiple 5-packs as it does to send multiple boxes, but only when they are Quickies. When they are not Quickies, multiple 5-packs cost half as much to ship as multiple boxes, whether or not the boxes are from the Boxes Category or the Quickies Category.

So that should clear everything up, a 5-pack is a 5-pack, except when it isn't.

AND, whether it is or isn't, you have no choice as to the method of shipment despite being the one to pay the charges ...

Typically, in all manner of commerce, the party paying the shipping charges has the right to specify the means of shipment ...

all other complaints aside, and for the most party, I have none, this, to me, is a serious sticking point ... shipments sent via UPS will take 8 or 9 days to reach me whereas shipments sent via USPS will reach me in half that time ...

I just went back and forth with "DuhMarie" in cust. serv with her insisting that its always been that way. Even though I've ordered close to 100 times without it being that way. I asked her what they have been smokin and don't bother to reply. Just less ordering.

I don't think quickies ever got a dollar charge on 5 packs in the past, but I can no longer go back and check as there is no longer a way to look at individual lots to see.

DuhMarie is the polar opposite of what customer service used to be in what can now only be called "the old days" ...

I don't remember 5-pack Quickies being more expensive than other 5-packs in regards to shipping multiples either. The higher charges seem to coincide with the premier of the new website, which coincidentally, won't allow me to check previous orders.

Based on recent previous posts, the higher charges for multiple Quickie 5-packs is a new thing. I guess what pisses me off the most is how Cbid snuck in these higher charges, how they hid them in the Shipping Charges section of the website, and how Cbid attempts to insult our intelligence by insisting it has always been this way when there appears to be no way to verify this and there are those of us who still have decent memories and who have stated otherwise on this forum.

If this is in fact the case, shame on Cbid for being so sneaky and so disingenuous about claiming a policy has always been in existence when in fact it has not.

Note to Cbid: Show me the invoices from my previous orders that show that I have always paid more in shipping for multiple Quickies 5-packs and you will have my sincerest apology. However, if those invoices indicate otherwise, please either change your current policy back to the original policy or state clearly that your current policy has in fact recently been changed.

And then, if those invoices indicate that a 5-pack is a 5-pack as far as the cost of shipping multiples is concerned, you can apologize to all of us for recently lying to us and stating otherwise.

I can happily say, your voices have been heard.

We are working towards implementing a change to the shipping costs of the additional units to not get calculated based on category, rather by product.

For example, if a five pack or single is in the Quickies category, shipping will get calculated based on the product, $.50 or $.25, rather than the $1 Quickies category.

They are working on it now.
