Beer and Cigar pass

The weather is turning here to less chance of freezing so I was thinking about getting a list of interest on a beer pass. Most on here seem to prefer stouts and porters so I was thinking a bomber of that variety and maybe 2 or 3 of the 12 ounce variety in an LFR. Maybe a 10er of cigars but would like to keep that simple and not have it grow so we can keep the shipping cost down to an LFR for everyone. Let me know if you would be interested. Start time would be around a month from now.

I am open for a discussion about how we could make this pass more fun as well, like adding a local brew or local snack to the deal.

List of ineterested

I'm interested. What's an LFR?

A bomber (23oz) with 2 or 3 in 12oz with a 10er including a $20 for shipping = $100+ investment WITHOUT insurance.

If one bottle breaks or one can leaks, it's beat and the $50 insurance included by USPS won't cover it.

I've run this several times without any problems. Everyone packages it nicely then we won't have to worry about anything. Also, there is no way that we could get insurance form any delivery service to cover cigars and beer if something were to happen.

Cacman (Negative Nancy), if you're not comfortable shipping then don't join the pass and you will have no worries at all.

UNLESS . . . you told them it was an antique porcelain statue or something of that nature.

Then you have to provide receipts and if antique appraisals. I don't think there is a legitimate way around shipping stuff you are not supposed to across state lines. If people want to insure it more on their turn then I am all for it, but when I start it I'd rather the loss be on me then lie about the contents and provide false documentation in order to have another $50 insurance added to the package.

Simply pointing out the obvious risk.

Good to see any box pass being started. It's been a while. Good luck.

Not enough interest in this to get it going, maybe in a few more months or the fall.

Iffin' there's room and you don't mind having to ship to a non-contiguous state, I'd love to participate.
