Not a fan of copper cookware, myself. And the key to a proper Cast Iron Pan is don’t wash it. Use Bacon grease to season the pan, and use fat for frying. Things won’t stick if your pan is well greased. lol

Yep, if a cast iron pan is seasoned and taken care of properly then it works just as good as any non stick pan. Also, you do not have to worry about eating teflon because some dingaling likes to use a fork to scramble eggs.

All it takes is one improper use, washing, or a run through a dishwasher and its screwed.

They can be brought back to life and requires work and effort but in my OP is very well worth it. A good cast iron will cost you a pretty penny and takes a while to properly season. This is why I refuse to let my wife or my son use my cast iron pan.

I like cast iron, but I also really like one my stepson gave me. As-seen-on-TV 12" Slip Stone. Cooks more evenly than any of our higher end pans; non-stick surface looks like new after more than two years of heavy use;and bonus: the handle folds and makes storage a lot easier. Surprisingly good pan for less than $20
