Quickbuy prices are all but worthless now. Used to be near the Meier & Dutch wholesale prices. Now they are just a few bucks under the C.I. price if that.
https://www.cigarbid.com...quickbuy/2069149/?v=600
$135 - 24 Box of CAO Flathead Carb!
https://www.cigarbid.com...ordo-box-of-24/2843745/
$60 - Pack of 20 5 Vegas A! Few months ago is was $40 to $45
https://www.cigarbid.com...rdo-pack-of-20/2842334/
$20 - for a Pack of 5 Diesel Unholy Cocktail Torpedos!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!! SICK!!
https://www.cigarbid.com...coso-pack-of-5/2840529/

Did Boxes ALWAYS take 5+ days to close? Confused

ya there are some that are decent prices there if you want to keep buying the same old stuff like CAO Black, R.P.Vin, Aj Fernandez Habanos, Undercrown........horse

the OTHER Cigar Auction site offers TONS of NEW & different blends. Every Perdomo line, every NEW AJ Fernandez line including Southern Draw, NEW E.P.Carrillo, NEW Cro Magnon, NEW Aging Room, Kristoff, and so on. And ALL for around $4 to $6per cigar which is the proper mark down price. CigarBid has hardly worked in any NEW options here since they started up again on August of last year. It's a stagnant web site. Angry

To actually have QuickBuy prices that put internet cigars as the same price as National brands is lousy. $4 for a 5" x 56 Diesel Torpedo!d'oh! Not talking Shame on you That is rotten. The wholesale price is a Box for 30 for $70.00.

Eh..........I'm with RAH on this one.
There was a time when cbid was pretty much the undisputed king.
Since then...
The Padron debacle...
Not increasing staff when it was clearly needed...
The great software meltdown of early 2017...
The "great" website release of early 2018...
Continuing problems with listing data and bidding weirdness...
Shrinking number of decent lots for auction...

I really don't get it. The only explanation is that there's just this vast pool of noobs and cheap cigar addicts
that continue to bid on, and buy dog rockets.

Really hit home a few days ago when I searched "Tatuaje" and got 13 results -- every one of them for singles

I've been known to work the FF once in a great while, but RAH's correct --- it is NOT worth the time required for a fiver of General Cigars

Dang, everyone stop raining on my parade. I for one am glad to be back here, and even though I've been unsuccessful so far at auction, I'm having a little fun. I do have some bids on some secret "under the radar" gems that I'm hopeful for. If I'm successful, they will be cheaper then what I paid at the other places. But then again, when you have 3 overflowing coolers, it's no big deal if you don't win.

These said cigars are perfectly fine tuned to my palate (grass clippings, hay, arm pit, barn yard and mildew), so you wouldn't like them, ha, ha. Actually they are a Nic puro that open with pepper and sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), finish with nuts, coffee and chocolate, and have a very pleasant underlying sweetness throughout. I took a chance on a fiver, and instantly fell in love.

^You think those are great prices? What a noob. Half of those cigars I wouldn't give you a buck for. Some of the others I have gotten for less than half that "deal". Face it RAH, you can't compete with "the master".

.....LOL you are such a drama queen A-Hole and a chronic liar because you're starved for attention. I blame your mother for that. She cut you off of her niple way to early when you where a baby that has created this need.

.....And I have no desire to compete with the master masterbater in anything! Shame on you Pricing aside my point is simply that the selection here has gone to suck and you can't get any the NEWER blends here at any price because they don't offer them! Above your head I know but I can't make it any plainer.

......I like Cigarbid, DA!! Could be why I am bitching about it. The fact that a 2nd rate cigar retailer out of Florida has better offers and selection to choose from is SAD. If they offered ANY newer blends here maybe you could share some better deal postings. But at present, because of what they offer here that's not going to happen because the ONLY competitor CigarBid really has is C.I.

RAH.......cbid has more competitors than just CI.
Like I said earlier, cbid used to be king.........now slowly sinking, possibly to a point of never returning to the glory days.

Then again........I don't know chit really.
I mean we all beetching about it cause most of know cigars a bit, and want decent smokes at great prices.
Could me that THOSE glory days are truly gone forever.
For all I know, cbid may still be the number one cigar auction site in terms of gross sales.
Anyone know who number one, two three and four is out of the big 4?
That's something I've been curious about for years.
I have a guess, but it's probably wrong...

Also wonder if CI and cbid sales numbers are kept separate, or lumped together.

Oh boy, that arm pit tang will get ZRX's attention real fast.

It depends on your viewpoint and how they are structured. They can be considered indirect competitors, but yeah, I get what you are saying. FYI, Keith and John haven't owned CI & Cbid in 10 years. They were bought out in 2007 IIRC. They opened up another company that is a competitor around 2010 iirc.

Ha, ha, funny little man, RAH. Let's see if I remember you correctly? You where that noob loser who would post on here all the time, begging folk to bid on your lots because you bid on too many, and couldn't pay for your wins. The problem was, everything you had bid on was crap, so no one was willing to help you out.

Then every few weeks or so, you would post some long list of crap cigars that you had overpaid for in a brag post. No one cared, but you thought you where somehow a cigar purchasing expert. Self delusion at it's very best.

BTW, do you still have that BLOG where you rate and review a bunch of dog rockets? I know that was always good for a few laughs.

Real stand up operation too. Had some damage to an order, they replaced it, then that one was damaged too. Credit got delayed accidentally. All I asked for was a refund, they gave me the refund and enough extra points for about $150 worth of merchandise/cigars.

Not surprising when you look at who is running the company. It's how this place used to be before Swedish Match bought it and their retainer contracts ran out.

......well I was poor at the time cause I was on disability with Congestive Heart failure couldn't afford higher priced smokes so I was trying to get what I could at the cheapest price. And your opinion of what is or is not a DOG cigar is basically worth a grain of salt and means nothing because EVERYONE here thinks they smoke the best cigars LOL. And ya when I did the blog for a year I was trying EVERY new blend weather it was low priced or not so I could offer some details about the cigar. If you think that's funny, well, who cares?. and.....

.....just keep smoking your GISPERT, LOL, and live in your fantasy world thinking anyone truly cares what you say.

^RAH, I'm truly sorry to hear of your disability (I wouldn't wish that on any one). You earlier called me an A-hole and a chronic liar. I'll freely admit that many times I've been an A-hole, but a liar I am not, and there are those here that will attest to the fact that I speak the truth.

I was incorrect in my previous sig line, as I was a member here since 2009 (not 2010) with close to 8,000 posts. Unlike you, I have personally met and herfed with 2 to 3 dozen former and current board members. I was one of the founding members of the Wednesday night Dante SJ/PA herf group. I single handedly started the 2007 OR Morado buying rush here on Cbid, and there are many here that are thankful for it. You also claimed that I'm living in some kind of fantasy world. My history on this board (and several others) says otherwise.

With that said, I do owe you a sincere apology. Your first few posts here several years ago really turned me against you. Because of that history, I have recently been unfair and nasty to you. For that I apologize. In the future, if I must reply to one of your posts, I will attempt to do so in a cordial manor.

That's not bad RAH.
NH the Partagas.........NC Partagas haven't done much for me....gave up on them long ago.
Ave Maria?......too many airballs.....but that was years ago, maybe they're better now.
MoW bigfig was a decent yard gar......got to like lots of leather and strong tobacco flavors though.....I used to, not as much lately.
The best score imo was the DE Shade. I'm a big fan of the Corona and the Rob.......not sure about a 6x60..... But at that price, a winner in my book.

There appears to be a fixed bid increment for each auction, which CBID keeps secret for some unknown reason.

He's at 23.50 for all 40 lots.
Bid increment SAYS $1.00..................but cbid wants a 25.50 bid to play..........Think

Something is definitely wonky.
You might be right RAH, the new "upgraded cbid website" could be revealing this guy's max bid..............or, the wrong bid increment is posted........another possibility.

I'm too much not like a genius to figure out how cbid would benefit from this new "format" if in fact that is the case...............anyone have any theories?

Eh.......I'm full of chit.
Thought the bid increment was $1, but it's actually $.50.

Still, one should be able to bid $24 on a fiver I would think, and not be forced to bid 25.50.

Hey Ladies! What's the deal here?

I forgot about those Triple Maddies. I just hobbled down to the coolers, and I have 6 left. So, let's see. I left in the fall of 2014, and if I remember correctly, those auctions where in the spring. So those cigars have an additional 4 years of age on them, and since they where "old stock" probably a few more.

Oh, and last night I just won here 2 5-packs of that cigar I was hinting about, for less then I did at the other place. Yes, I'm shocked. Now I have to go after some more stuff to make the shipping worth while, lol.
