Pricly Pear Jelly - Benefit for OpFTH - 5th Annual (maybe 6th)

Greetings all - I have made Prickly Pear Jelly again to trade for OpFTH donations or cigars for OpFTH troop targets. I still send 2-6 boxes per month to the troops, and appreciate getting cigars, dip and other troop goodies to supplement what I spend on contents and postage.

For those of you who are already addicted to the Prickly Pear Jelly, this needs no introduction. For the rest of you and Noobs, this stuff is made from the Prickly Pear cactus, it's delicious and addictive. People ask what it tastes like - it's very unique, but the closest thing I can say is a little pear, a little grape, a little black cherry flavors, it's true jelly (no seeds, or anything to spoil the smooth texture), it's not spicy, it's made from cactus not chili pepper.

Each jar goes in trade for 15 troop cigars or a $20 donation to OpFTH. Cigars should be full-size, hand-made cigars, please - if you want to send Swisher or Backwoods, that's fine, but it's more like 40 of those per jar. I have 2-dozen jars of jelly to trade for donations. Those of you who need a tax letter for your CPA, just make that request in the box or letter with your check - checks should be made out to OpFTH, and I'll forward them to Smitty. Please include a note with your return address and the number of jars you are requesting, frequently, return address labels get destroyed, and of course, some of you can barely write....hahaha.

Only cigars sent to me count towards this, but if you want to make a donation online, just have Smitty email me that it's received.

Cigars and donations should come directly to me at:

Beth Mohr
OpFTH Agent
933 San Mateo Blvd NE, Box #500-151
Albuquerque, NM 87108

PM me with questions. This stuff goes fast, so for those of you who want multiple jars, let me know soon. Thanks to all of you who generously send goodies all year 'round, you know who you are, and you can plan on receiving jelly bombs! whip whip whip

I will be sending more cigars this year for some of that Prickly Pear Jelly. Had my first taste last year and it is good.

Also I just looked and for those that were having trouble back in July setting up the monthly donations it is up and working now.

Thanks much - packages being received! I use these donations to continue to send goodies to the troops, so I really appreciate your assistance, and so do our troops. I know everybody is busy with your own families and holiday planning, but our guys and gals over there in harms way really love receiving these goodies, and I can't do it without your help!

Homemade items are not supposed to be sent to the troops, so that includes jelly. Sorry.

Sorry, all, I had a death in the family and am just now coming back up for air. If I owe anyone Jelly, please let me know.

Otherwise, I have about 15 jars left. PM me if you want some or just send cigars and I'll do my best to get it turned around quickly. Thanks, -B

I, too, got 3 jars with some cool labels. Holy moly, you aren’t kidding. I started out having some on some toast as well. When the dust settled, I had one piece of bread left in the bag, my toaster was giving me the evil eye and half a jar was gone. Amazing! Thanks, Beth!
