Whats up amigos y enimigos. This nig has 120 bucks to spend on CubansWhistle Whistle Whistle .

You see, I will be going to a country in South America where Cubans are plentiful. As such, my boss gave me 120 dollars to spend for him. He is looking to get a full box of 25.

He says they don't have to be the best cigars just wants something solid and good. What is the best way I should spend the money? I am guessing Bolivars and Montecristos will be more expensive than this but what are some other brands that would be good. Are Cuban Fonseca's any good? Because Im sure I can find a box of those.

Full box of 25 for $120??
Partagas, Super Partagas - Decent cigar for 4 bucks and similar to the culebra
H.Upmann - Majestic is $110
H.Upmann - Half Corona will run you $125

Do yourself a favor and stretch the budget out to $150 a box. There's a lot more options.

^ don't listen to him. You can definitely find a hookup for the glass top Cohibas. I mean, they're Cohibas, stuff's cheaper down there, don't let them play you into paying American sucker prices.

Serious answer; Give him back his money and tell him to order them himself. Not worth the risk to either of you.

I can't overstate the risk of getting fake Cuban cigars. The ONLY place you might have a decent chance of getting authentic cigars is in LCdH. The price you pay there will be equal to or, more likely, greater than the price he can get online. You also face the risk of confiscation upon return. Think about that conversation when you see him afterward. Besides, as mentioned above, $120 isn't going to get you much: Smaller format cigars; or crappy cigars -- neither is an appealing option for you/him. He isn't likely to be satisfied with PC's to show off to his friends, and you won't find anything bigger than a PC or CJ in his price range. If you still intend to do this, don't concern yourself with what to get -- neither of you cares, just get whatever happens to be $120 and make him happy....or have a Cuban sandwich and go to a full-service massage parlor with cute Cuban 'masseuses'.

120 for a box of anything other than a few corona junior marcas will likely be fake.

Lcdh, as mentioned above, should be your only play but your selection at that price point will be limited.

I suppose it's possible but yeah, I don't see it either. Just not worth it, one of the lowest cost cigars in the HSA line that is relatively unknown. If the counterfeit cigar costs the same to make and band, and the risk is the same either way, why put a label on it that sells for quite a bit less than what the famous name ones go for?

True, true.

I suppose one could move the paper from genuine ones to counterfeits, but that isn't typically how the counterfeits which are pawned off on tourists are done. Maybe an unscrupulous private seller in this country who is unloading 5'ers or something, but even that doesn't make sense because the genuine Fonseca's probably cost less than the non-Cuban cigar that would be rebanded.

Reminds me of the old Seinfeld episode where Kramer is trying to raise investor money for Cubans. Everyone thinks he is talking about Cuban cigars, but he's actually trying to smuggle in real Cuban cigar rollers. In the end he gets stuck with "fakes", as the Cuban cigar rollers where actually Dominicans.

Ever hear of San Andreas tobacco ? There was a Mexican cigar that I kinda liked- can't remember the name, but they were better than TeAmo - haven't seen them in years.

I agree with Tony on GNF... racist.

Telling a joke is one thing (I've heard several variations of that joke before as I'm sure most of us have), proclaiming your discriminatory hiring practices is another.

Gets a GREAT 5 pack.
