I've been gone a long time. I cant even begin to remember how many trades I did here at CBID. I received so many wonderful cigars and met (many in person) so many great BOTL's. My secretary probably used to think I was involved in some sort of illegal package sending network as I would get multiple packages many days. It's been too long.

With that being said, I'm kind of in the mood to swap some cardboard filled with tobacco leaves. Problem is, I dont have anything new and quite frankly, I dont even know what is out there any more. I used to be a Tat whore with a heavy side of Liga and Fuente. Mix in some Cubans and I was in heaven.

I've looked through my remaining stash and determined it's probably time to let some others try some of my hoarded stash. I've still got most of my cabinet full but it is mostly stuff I never wanted to smoke because I would never find them again. I dont even remember half the stuff I have any more but a quick inventory has unopened boxes of many smokes that I dont think are around much any more...

Original Feral, 9 and 52 Pigs
Original Rats
Original Regios and Noella Reserva
Oliva Maddie V's from 08, 09, 10
Old Fuentes - WOAM, BTL, original 858 SGs, etc
That damn cab of Westies I'm afraid to open
Saw a couple 07 Gold Medals
Half a box of red cloth Olivas
Might have seen some Cohetes
Plus many misc cigars that I dont even remember the names of most but I could probably figure out...

I assume that alot of these are past their prime. I know that cigars have their windows of "optimum smoking" and I couldn't tell you what those might be.

With all that said, this isn't some "brag list" or "hey look at me" thread. I'm looking to trade a few fivers in hopes of maybe getting a few newer cigars to try. I'm not on the mailing lists any more. I dont keep up with new releases. And I dont want to work that hard trying to figure out what the hell I might like.

If anyone is interested in a trade, hit me up. I'm up for probably 5 different trades. Just a 5-er. Not a cbid fiver. I'm not trying to one up anyone. You will get some old stuff. I will get some newer stuff. Like I said, I prefer Tats, Fuente, Liga Privada, Cubans, and higher end stuff. There was some LP9 Tubo I was wanting a while back. You will get the same in return although they will be older and most likely unavailable for sale anywhere else. IF there is something specific you are looking for, I'll try to oblige. As for me, I'll leave it up to you.

My only rules are to not be a douche, dont send me RP, gurkha, or the like.

Anyone up for a trade? IF not, I'll just keep smoking this yellow banded dirty rat (old liga bands seem to turn yellowish) I grabbed while rummaging around. Still tastes pretty good to me but I'm a fog fog now so who knows what my opinion is worth Frying pan

Why would I want to trade my brand new, shiny factory fresh cigars for your old, dingy ones? Plus Jade told me that your cat p*ssed all over the cello and turned them yellow.

Seriously, TJ, most of my stuff is mid range, and not worthy of those fine age cigars you have, plus I wouldn't want to insult your palette. But good luck with the trades. I'm sure there are brothers here in a much better position to oblige.

It's also good to see you back. It's been a long time, brother.

lol...me, too....I've pretty much gone full elitist (aside from some fishing/yard stash) in recent years and I got very little I'd put up against that list...I do have a box of sealed 08 V maddies, but I see those are up there already.....ha....I suggest sending Pro a PM....I am certain he'd be able to offer up full value for some Westies.

But....since you're talking fivers, I could probably scare up something

I get that....I'm already that way with a few unicorns I have buried. But, before these were 'mythical', there were just WAY too many brothers whose opinions I valued that found them to be the best cigar they'd ever had. I do think they'd be wasted on my lousy taste buds, but I don't think I'd be disappointed.

It was a great cigar, but I do not know how age will effect it. My best guess is the cab is just fine.

I just know my tendency to prefer younger cigars. I just got a couple boxes of RYJs coronitas en cedro with box codes from 2013... I was a bit disappointed, lol. They're still good mind you, had one ROTT, but I would have preferred something from 16+.

On another note, had to scrap one of them because it didn't pass the tap test (bug sh1t falling out), but other than that... needless to say, they're in the freezer right now.

Anyway, rambling. I hear you on your point, and I'm sure to most people they're phenomenal, but just knowing my tendencies, I'm afraid they would be wasted on me.

Upon second glance, I just checked my pm’s and I am going to cut this trade offer off as of now. I had 6 pms plus a couple of offers here. I should be able to handle all of them. I’ll respond back individually Friday or sat. I gotta get to bed. Single parenting and all...

Smoke a good one.

OK, I sent out 7 PM's tonite to people who had requested trades. I know there are a couple of people in this thread I didn't get to. I fully plan on doing a few more once this batch is done. But, I don't want to overwhelm myself and extend myself too far. I don't want a bad trade rep. Hell, Let'sRock might not vouch for me.

Looking forward to it my friends!

And for the record, I sold my business about 2 years ago. Don't try to sneak attack me as you most likely don't have a good address and I would hate to see your cigars head to the people who bought my old companies LOL

TJ I guess I have probably smoked more Westies than anyone. It was my favorite cigar of all-time and I went through several cabs and even did a few splits on cabs. I found another 20 of them last year and they are definitely past their prime now. They are still enjoyable but not mind-blowing anymore. I would suggest smoking or trading them soon.

Good to see you back posting. I've been gone from here a while myself.

Sorry for the delay. This stupid thing called life again. Been out of town for a graduation among other things. I'll respond to PM's tonite and I plan on getting a few if not all of the packages out tomorrow and Tuesday.

And to the old farts posting on my thread, I MISS YOU BUTTHEADS!

Tuck, lemme know when. I might have to fly up there. I'll at least send a package. Anyone have Tuck's addy? MY database is gone....

I got a couple of boxes in today but I haven't looked at them yet. Look forward to checking them out in a bit.

I hate the post office.

I haven't used my usps.com account in like 7 years. I tried to log in. Couldn't remember my password. Tried to get them to send me a new one. It asked security questions. One was "what is your favorite food?" I have no idea what I typed for an answer 10+ years ago for that question. So, it wont give me a new password.

I tried to make a new account. It says I already have an account and need to use that one. I swear I am going to kill someone.

Finally, today, I remember an old email account so I finally create a new account. I type in all 7 trade addresses into a batch shipment. I click to select package type and it gives me an error. It erased all 7 addresses I just typed.

I tried again using just one address. And again and again. It wouldn't work.

I called the 800 number and they told me there is some sort of technical issue with their phones and to call back later.

I have all 7 trades boxed and ready to ship. I am sorry they haven't shipped but I've been trying for several days to get this to work. If I cant get this figured out tomorrow, I'll go up to the post office Saturday and stand in line and make them type all the **** in on their own. Sorry for the delay.
