More Seattle stuff.....
Maktub - Khronos

I'm glad to see Reggie Watts getting what's coming to him - It's on too late, so only seen it a few times, but James Cordon's show is better than I expected...his political bullschitt notwithstanding..lol

But, I still wish Reggie would get the band back together....

Headpins - Line of Fire

80's Canadian rock/metal band with a chick screamer as lead vocalist. Good stuff and had the album for a looooooong time.

Respect Commander? That's the only Zappa nod I hear on the album.

Here it is live...

I spotlit this as one of my favorite tracks on the album.

more like this one with the off key backup vocals...over and over and over
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n0PUXewaC0

though that was a greeeaaat live cut you put up!

I need a couple of more listens but that Boston Globe reviewer was wrong, it's not White looking to the future, there are a few looks back on this effort. Some crap, but I believe I end up liking this more over time.

Joe Jackson - 1979-1980 Tour Compliation

I think Joe’s performed twice in Hawaii but for the life of me, can’t remember if I ever saw him live.

Leon Bridges - Coming Home

This young man can sing! Saw him on Austin City Limits a few weeks ago. His voice and style (...old R&B...) immediately caught my attention. Tight band too. Looking forward to seeing what he does next.

"Over and Over and Over" is pure Jack via the White Stripes.

https://youtu.be/1OjTspCqvk8 - Icky Thump

"Ice Station Zebra"...perhaps?

https://youtu.be/c24Wp4N34oA

For its change ups and orchestration?

Some of the smarmy lyrics are ripped from Frank's mouth though. I love this one for the lyrics...

https://youtu.be/JGCYq9Xe-kI

An updated Central Scrutinizer!

"Do you wish for nothing? Then you will have nothing...now, that is something!"

Yes, this is looking back HARD! He's taking his guitar playing to a higher level, his lyrics are more biting. I've been listening to a lot of Spirit lately and I hear that mixed in this release.

One of my favorite off of it is this Nashville Grand Ole Opry tunes...

https://youtu.be/9n3grab76sY

The harmonies are pure gold! Stuff you don't hear anymore...HARDLY!

A lot of this album is just pure indulgence on his part. I get it. You work to get to this point...ENJOY THE HELL OUT OF IT!

He's playing down the Cape this weekend.

We can all hit the Hog Island brewery and then head over to Eastham and catch some blues.
