There were no leakers. Trump didn't negotiate in good faith. He changed his mind from tuesday to thursday and got called on it. My understanding is he was bragging about it and the words used.

Don't entirely disagree. But how many messengers do we have to kill before we take a hard look at our potus blabber mouth who's either too dumb or too arrogant to realize that he's not surrounded by friends and confidants?

Well, when you have an army of "me toos" (not that kind of me toos) trying to get their name in lights as a footnote in a Trump article, I wouldn't put it past some of them to embellish the context.

So they're better off just focusing on the task at hand, because nobody is going to remember who they were at best, and at worst, it's career suicide if they fail, Trump is a pretty good troll.

He said she said partisan garbage with turds like durbin leading the charge. Let's say Trump referred to some chitholes as such in a private meeting - are we to believe that that is the worst thing ever said? The tattle tail stuff is beyond old and shows that any negotiating in good faith is near impossible with the usual suspects.

Do a search on the international backlash.

Yeah, yeah, they hate us already...who cares...
Sad (to me) that people would ever defend racism and stupidity.
But to not expect repercussions ....(!)

Here's dictionary.com definition of delusional:

Psychiatry. maintaining fixed false beliefs even when confronted with facts, usually as a result of mental illness

Fake news huh. Well, I ain't the one ignoring the facts.

Again, search international response to chithole comment.

Yeah, I'd cancel my travel plans but, hey, bon voyage!

Before I tread on your sensibilities, let me explain that I'm not necessarily agreeing with how the President does his business. Nor do I disagree (like many here) simply because... Trump.
In this instance I am on record as being against what he said, considering the forum.

But the OVER reaction by the left is off the charts.

Next thing you know people will actually cancel their travel plans...

This is a great point.

So the overall goal is to negotiate and work with certain nations.
President Trump hurts this objective by calling them names.
The "leakers" hurt this objective by telling everyone he said it. Otherwise nobody knows.

Hmm.
Sounds like in this case it's actually justified to shoot the messenger, for otherwise there is no harm done.

There's plenty of dirt to go around and a double helping of slime. Only one side seems to be claiming to be clean.

Sure as heck ain't me.

But whatever it takes to continue outrage aka donations I suppose.

don't be ridiculous.
You're comparing the people who are pointing out that the president is incompetent with the incompetent president?

I mean seriously... this is more an incompetency issue than a racism issue. If our moronic orange president were at minimum competent enough to keep his idiotic mouth shut when moronic thoughts go through his head, we wouldn't even see "leaks" like this.

blaming the messenger here is ridiculous.... he's incompetent. Our other branches of government aren't in place to cover for his incompetency.

I actually felt better while watching the entire televised Tuesday meeting until he completely through it out on Thursday. It was meaningless. The chithole term while unnecessary and completely inappropriate for any professional meeting (usually would bring reprimand or termination), isn't the real issue and doesn't phase me much.

This wasn't a leak in any way shape or form. It was a bipartisan meeting gone awry. sunshine laws and freedom of information are in place for a reason. Anytime someone pivots to secrecy is good and disclosing is bad it tells you a lot about where they are at. I'd be in favor of such meetings being transcribed and available. Integrity...act like the world is watching.

Then to watch cotton, perdue, and the HS director lie about it (but even if it did happen it is ok and maybe even good...wtf) is pathetic.

And yes both parties are slimy at times. Don't use that as an excuse for your guy to be slimy. I want my side to be better than yours. it used to be.

The tell was was Lindsey Graham's reaction...after being a harsh Trump critic since the beginning, he had spent the previous few months working with Trump, singing Trump's praises, and then basking in the glow with Trump after the tax bill was passed...Graham took Trump at his word when he said "I will sign a bipartisan bill...it will be a bill of love" ... shortly after the televised bipartisan meeting on Tuesday, Trump hedged a tad by making a list of stuff he wanted in the bipartisan bill.

Then on Thursday, at a meeting with Trump, the bipartisan proposal was shot down by the President, even though it contained what he had on his list, using tough language. After the Thu meeting, Graham supported Durbin's description of what happened... Durbin had been his partner in pushing the bipartisan bill that Trump declined to sign and said he was shocked by the Trump he saw on Thursday, asking where the Tuesday Trump went....

I could think of 10 less painful ways to kill yourself off the top of my head... why would anyone pick that one?

Does seem a bit fishy just based on that alone.

I would think that it would be brutally hard to stab yourself in the heart. I imagine it would take a few attempts, as I wouldn't think it would be as easy to do as it sounds.

Was there prior attempt wounds, or did he do it on his first shot?

No victor, it was a gutless liberal coward that ran out of a closed door meeting and cried to the media that Trump called a ****hole country a ****holes country. Why! Because gutless cowardly liberals could chit there diapers and get all the lazy, week minded liberals outraged at a new narrative to push.. Yet you gutless cowardly liberals have been spitting out your self-righteous BS for years.. BTW please don’t talk about Rugby, you embarrass the great sport.

Regarding the OP:

the POTUS was wrong to speak out loud what many (not in his position) feel to be the truth.

But with that said, it still feels like a petulant little child ran out of the meeting with intentions to tattle on the Presidents faux pas.

There is honestly no other way to describe it.

You're in a meeting with the President of the United States.
He used a potty term.
Stop peeing your pants with giddy anticipation to tell the world.

Note to self: Don't invite THAT guy to Vegas.

on Jan. 12 you said:

No spin needed.
The President should apologize.

not setting you up for debate, but do you feel the message or the messenger is the bigger story, 4.5 months later?

The president of the United States should be smart enough to realize that in a meeting with congresspeople from both parties, anything negative he says will be immediately reported. This is not new. Republicans did it to Obama... I'm sure Dems did it to Bush. The difference is they were both smart enough to know they needed to speak intelligently.

Either Trump isn't smart enough to realize his undiplomatic and borderline racist comments would be reported, or he specifically wants to run his administration that way.

I also don’t think this was a private meeting and there was no expectation of secrecy. The prez needs to learn where he’s at and it’s not Vegas.

How many times do I have to say/write that the President was wrong for saying what he did?

That doesn't excuse the salivating moron who tattle tailed on the POTUS.
Nor the rabid mob of liberals trying to make this something it isn't.

It happened.
He said it.
He shouldn't have.
Two facts and an opinion that I stand by.

My most recent comment stands.

Trump has done nothing to suggest that he lacks empathy for these stricken chit holes.
Meanwhile, the left continue to spin it like he insulted everyone's mother.

Their incessant whine has grown tiresome.
Bigger story?
It's not the message at all. It's the over-reaction.

So NOW Bush is smart enough?
Seems we heard for 8 years how he wasn't.

No revisionist history there. Nope. not at all.

I wish we could draw pictures. So some of you would have a chance to comprehend.
Virtually everyone agrees that Trump should not have said what he did.
Not sure why we keep needing to hear it again?

Either way, Trump being a dolt doesn't excuse the messenger from being a childish loser.

Haiti is a chit hole.

Doesn't mean there aren't great people there.
And nobody wants to hear it from a world leader.
But that doesn't make it any less true.

If he claimed the people were low life's then you'd see my sorry azz out in the front of a protest. I know too many Haitians and have visited the western side of the Dominican where many Haitians live.
They might be the best people I have ever encountered. Ever.
Doesn't make Port au Prince any less of a dangerous hell hole.

geeeeeeeeeeeeeez...............

Jamie found a little kernel about a doctor who committed suicide ... thought it interesting only because the doctor may have dropped a dime on Hillary's foundation ... needed a place to park the nugget, cuz he was too lazy to start his own thread...and found his landing spot here in Haiti...

then all hell breaks out about a story that died months ago...only in America...
