remember buying from Thompson r/g of 43 and thought that was large. Then started on 48 and said well that's big enough. Got some samples later and they were 60's, and too big for me.

Guess I missed out on the time and by who when size was escalating.

Today I prefer 52 or 54. don't think I'll ever go back to the 43 size.

couldn't find one to fit the tripod.

I don't understand how ANYONE and smoke one ring gage. So many blends out their taste great in Lancero (7.5" x 38) and Churchill (7" x 48). Along with ring gage 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, & 60 LOL! Maybe the length of the stick matters as 5 inch Robustos go fast.
