pretty much.
if this were to accomplish anything, it would likely be to create a wider gap in the GOP.

Glad they rushed to do something productive before they take off for the summer....I mean with only a handful of work days before midterms, it sure is great to see them getting something accomplished

Z is right, it is political theatre, I just don't see the end game value. I think Frank is right that this could further divide the republican party.

The Freedom Caucus is good at walking that tightrope. Divisive without fracturing. If impeachment was the intent, they would have used an expedited process to force a vote. This one's for show and headed to death by committee.....which they knew when they filed

Well that was a waste of a news cycle. Wonder what they were trying to make sure we didn't look at....

The latest distraction from the real story...they've got a clear majority with a POTUS on their side and a SCOTUS as a back-up, but can not produce any legislation that would benefit their own constituents, much less America as a whole. They've gone all in on the Trump Show, wishing and hoping...

Al, do they really have any choice other than to go all in? The problem with going all in is when you have lost, you have lost all.

Not sure how Congress, especially the House, has dissolved into a fraternity of useless suck-ups who have no intentions to measure their constituents' needs, consider America's needs, and propose legislation that would be beneficial.

Instead, they are empty suits, waiting for the next industry/corporate lobbyist to tap them on the shoulder to push a bill on their behalf, to hell with their constituents/American people...many are just angling for face time, building a rep for the payoff in private business after they serve a few terms...

Because the climate for business has been primed (tax cut passed), there isn't a lot businesses need anymore, so ... to fill the time, rather than represent their people, the Congressmen climb on the Trump express, riding out the Russian investigation roller coaster while trying to derail it...

Point the finger at the voters/people for electing these do-nothing corporate suck-ups...
