But, on the other hand, yesterday, as the bidding closed, I picked up a 20 ct. box of 5 Vegas torpedoes for 34.00, slightly more than half of what Cigars International has them listed for in the new catalog and a box of Palmarejo coronas for $19.00 that the "Maternal cigar" site has listed at 75.95. I've made some good buys here on boxes. If they arrive at my home in good condition, I'll have made some terrific buys. But you are so correct! Hot brands tend to draw some bidders who don't shop the marketplace. For most of my cigar smoking years (over 35) I bought cigars at a few local shops and paid the going price. I think many of those who appear to be bidding quite high live in areas where the local shops ask and get MSRP. Steve*R
