Guys if we can get at least 15 players then I'm going to do a top 5 payout with the 5th person at least keeping their ante!
It's been great for the past few years and I'd like to see it continue.

And as always I will be adding a xtra prize for the top 2 and a legit Dead ass last finish (actually making valid picks Brick wall )

It's dead for the most part. I am dead money/cigars in this thing, that should entice some to enter!

After the last few years I'm surprised we dont have more participation. I had another member offer up some awesome extra smokes for a grand prize.. We'll see how it goes

I reluctantly have to say the ante is a little thin. I want to encourage new guys to join in and participate in the fun and games, so I hope this isn't a turn off. Maybe two or three "super premiums" will sweeten that pot...imho...

Maybe the new guy should look up some past "Pick "em" contests to get an idea of what guys sent to the winners...

Thanks Al, That's the type of response I was looking for and I wanted it to come from the group of players and not just me.
I want new guys to play as well and we've all been there when we haven't had a great stash...but going to a local B&M shpo and picking up a few premiums is pretty easy.

Delta

Can you please list some premiums so us noobies understand what is asked of us. I know it is hard for me to understand what is premium. Is it the rating of the cigar? Cost? Strength? Is it personal choice. I want to be apart ofthe season just needing some guidance...

Hey lance, try a few of the cigars in Whizzy's list (he left off a big one though...Fuente)...and you'll prolly agree that there is a noticeable difference between "premium" and "super premium" cigars...

Let’s get a few more folks. If you haven’t done it before, it sure makes Saturday entertaining. I am so looking forward to FOOTBALL. Now that I have my covered patio, I will be getting a tv and watching a game with a cigar!

David,
I've got 1 noob in line to send me his ante so we should have at least 8 and if we don't get more than 10 I'm probably gonna do a winner take all this year...... I've lowered the cost of the sticks needed to play so more might be interested but some people still don't understand why they can't put up their 10 smokes worth $50- $70 (somewhat generous on cost there) when we're putting up $100.+ In our ante..... it's not that hard to got to the shop and buy a few good premium smokes

Got you 2 in fellas!

If we can get one more we ca do the same payout as last season or we can vote on a different scale, I personally like this bc it gets more winners in the end and the other 2 are getting a good bit.

1. Keep ante + win 5 ante

2. Keep ante + win 2 ante

3. Keep Ante + win 1 ante

Wanna give a quick update and shout out to a very generous BOTL.

1st off I wanna thank everyone that keeps this contest going every season......Over the past few years I've not been very active on the board (except for this contest) due to life in general ,trying more here lately though because I do enjoy the banter between most of ya'll! Between a full time, part time job and family life it doesn't leave much for anything else so I sincerely thank you guys!

This makes the 3rd year that I've been running it so to speak and I've tried changing a few things about it to get more participants involved (it's honestly like pulling teeth at times) with lowering the "High price and Aged cigars" ante stipulation and adding the prizes I provide, It has encouraged more new guys to play but not near as many as I would like, bc the more we have playing the more interesting it becomes week to week.

With all that being said, if you guys have and recommendations or any input on what ya'll would like to see change or improved, please don't hesitate to PM me so we can discuss it!

I'm running out of ideas on what prizes to personalize for the winners so if you have any request on what you would like to possibly see, please let me know ...it's almost like I'm getting writer's block lol

1 final but absolutely not last subject , Please let Whizzy1(Kevin) have a round of thanks for his amazing generosity!
I got a package with his ante (which is worth playing for by itself), 6 incredible sticks for me (which I told him not to send)
Shame on you , and to the winner goes an additional 14 count sealed box of ceegars! I'm not putting what the box is but rest assured I would be happy to win it lol!

Kevin you are an absolute class act brother, Thanks and Cheers! Beer Herfing

Thanks to the game **** for hosting this and whizzy for adding to the pot . I really enjoy it I am in another pool where it's 100 bucks buy in for the year and it uses point spreads which really is hard to pick that might be something to consider cause the leader is always changing .

Are we playing with spread? Is it just the winner of each game?

No it's just straight picks...... there's a few ppl that don't care for spreads ,so I keep it simple.
There are a ton of games though....the 1st week is 34 games, I made most of my picks last night.

Even without the spread the last few seasons came down to a game or 2
