Somebody posted that the new ones( this year) aren't as good as when they first came out?

I think they are still very good..

Haven't had one in a while, I think I got a few floating around my humidor somewhere. From what I remember, they were on par with the rest of the AJ offerings.

I used to smoke the Shorty and the UC...........a lot. The Shorty was my go to cigar when wrenching on cars and trucks and RVs.
You could drop it, kick it, forget about it for 5 minutes........and it would still burn and smoke like a champ
But then several years back, they lost their appeal..........different tobacco?........my palate evolving?
Prolly a bit of both.

Have a buddy who still buys the unlimited and loves them........after a long nap.......he smokes the D4 and D5.
I tried a few a .......they're ok.......not good enough to make me buy any.

Yeah, when new they're "just OK". Age them 5 years and try again though. WOW. They turn into truly excellent cigars.

Or at least, my 2012 6x60 batch did, when I smoked them in 2017. Your results may vary.

The Unlimited Maduros are very good too, even when new-ish. Stocked up on them lately.

Not as good to me as they used to be.

Smoked the crap outta UC, Shorties and Umlimited. Now I can't name a AJ cigar I go for.

I smoke so goddamn much AJ ****.......... and though I don't like ALL the diesel stuff I like (or love) 98 % of it..... Of course some more than others......Ummm Wicked anyone?

And while we're on diesel as a subject......


Is there. ANY DIFFERENCE between the "Diesel Corona" and "Diesel Limited Edition Corona"?????
