Might I recommend converting to Episcopalian...

Episcopal priests and bishops are allowed to marry, therefore less likely to be pedos.

Not Catholic and never really paid enough attention to the whole thing....I guess I just figured that the abuse was a relatively small percentile....but that the cover-up was the real problem....never really comprehended, I guess, that soooo many priests were so fd up as to abuse children...

This new news is rather sobering

*We have not gotten word from jj on whether priests molesting boys is punchable or not. It may depend on whether the boy is confirmed.

That's another bonus for Episcopalians, you don't have to be one to take communion... you don't even have to go through catechism to take communion.

So you can take communion from an Episcopal priest and not have to worry about being punched by jjan!

That's a huge bonus IMO.

If I was Catholic, I would convert.

(Disclaimer, I was baptised an Episcopalian when I was a baby before I was old enough to have a choice).

when the movie "Spotlight" was released, I posted strongly in favor of seeing it.
I was stunned by the crickets that followed here.

People hate it when the problem is something that resides in their value system...understandably.

Not much different than when one's political side is exposed for negative reasons.

Pennsylvania is in the NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT...
A GRAND JURY ? REPORT JUST CAME OUT OR a specific legal board? Has reported something like 300? Preists over many decades in all areas of PA abused hundreds ( maybe more) children , both boys and girls and nuns.

The bishops and cardinals just moved them around the state or out of the state.

I don't know all the specifics or exact terminology ..
But suffice to say it is FREAKIN' B.A.D....
EVEN THE POPE RECENTLY WEIGHED IN ON THE REPORT.

I HOPE the people affected get a decent monetary award even after the statute of limitations...

The priests will get their BEE-EL-ZA-BUB BUTT RAMMING REWARD BY GOAT LUCY IN THE LAKE OF FIRE FOR
ETERNITY...BUTTER BOYS BUTT CRUNCHERS PAY THE PIPER IN THE END... FIRST DEGREE MURDERERS COMEY AND MUELLER WILL BE THERE BESIDE THEM, JUST A MATTER OF TIME ...
