Read that a while back: eat a sugar cube, candy bar, anything with tons of sugar in it if you get nauseous after or during a smoke. Damned if it doesn't Work!

Only pairing I do nowadays , especially with strong cigars is sweet tea.

If I got nicotine poisoning from a cigar, I would stop smoking it. Sugar cubes are for horses.

I've had this happen twice to me and it sucks... Wife gets mad thinking I'm drunk off my a$$ and can't handle myself when I knew that wasn't the case. When I felt it coming on since I just put the cigar down. I will try this next time. Appreciate the info Huck.

I admit I might be a lightweight as I only smoke one or two cigars a week on average.

Nicotine can make your blood sugar level go up or down. The chemical alters the way your body can use glucose, the sugar in your blood that fuels your cells.

It could raise your odds of getting type 2 diabetes, and it can make your diabetes worse. On the flip side, nicotine may cause severe low blood glucose (hypoglycemia) for people who have diabetes and take insulin.

Insulin Resistance
Nicotine changes chemical processes in your cells so they don't respond to insulin and let it in, a condition called insulin resistance.

For some, sugar does help if a cigar turns you green.

Yeah, no clue what you're trying to say.

Though I do like to go round pantless. But how'd you know that?

So it's the cigars that are making me fat, and not the burgers, bacon and beer. Good to know.

I won a box of original CI Legends with a yellow label...

From WAAAAAYYYYYYY BACK...

A FAMOUS maker who made good cigars? I think it was
Pepin?
I loved his 1892?/ 1492? lanceros big time...

But this batch of legends made me sick 3 different times!
Even with a good food base in my stomach and only a few beers into drinking...
I mean nauseous, gut ache , light headed...sleep it of for 2 hours or puke staying upright... kinda sick...

I still have about 8 of them...I give them to people I really dislike and boy , they have put down at least 4 different major **** that I gave them too...I mean these 4 different f*cks at different functions, parties, reunions
Deserved every minute of sickness( from past misdeeds to me) that those Legends gave them within 25-30 minutes of the start...I timed it and watched them turn green and get sick with revengeful G.L.E.E....

I had always smoked strong, full body cigars. Back in 2013 I had a period where every full bodied cigar made me ill by the half way point. I had to go with mild and connies for a while. It lasted for about a year, but eventually I was able to go back to my high nicotine favorites. I haven't been ill from a cigar since.

Hey Mr. Jones, do you have any of those yellow labels left? It sounds to me like a challenge.

David

Edited to add:

Ha, ha, I found the original thread.
