If so, just 'standard' version? Or, Live TV version?

Trying to judge whether its a viable TV cord-cutting replacement at $40/mo....I think the TV part is over $100 of my cable bill, but I may be tied to another year of a contract....I need to read fine print before I make any changes

We hulu for $7.99/month... We also do prime for less than $10 a month I believe and we piggy back off my parents Netflix account... Alluc is offline but there's a new version of putlocker up that allows you to find almost anything... Cut the cord...

Just cancelled cable yesterday and am in the middle of testing other options.

One thing I learned real quick from a different option is that DVR is important to us. Last night I had to sit through so many commercials when I wasn't used to it any more.... So whatever options you choose I would make sure you have a DVR involved.

After the current trial expires (just a couple days) I'm going to try YouTube tv... It has a DVR as part of the package and seems to have the channels I want. It's also 40$... But I was poking around the cheaper options, and after adding in DVR I either wouldn't get what I want, or it would be the same price.

You need internet for any option, so you're paying for that out the gate. Then hulu, netflix, prime, youtube... by the time you got all the channels you want you damn near equal a cable bill and you're paying multiple entities.

Still... I'll consider canceling cable when my current deal ends. I don't use the phone... and only telemarketers call that number.

I think Comcast was charging us 220$/mo... Cutting it down to internet got us to 100 or so.... The extra 50$ for streaming seems to be a win.

We'll see....this is an experiment.

Never give YouTube a penny, ever... The other 3 can be had for under $30/mo total easily...

I use Hulu live TV, it works good. Sometimes though you get bit with licensing rights where some sporting events won't be shown on one platform, but will be shown on another.

Platform, meaning home box vs mobile. I get around that with a Chromecast though.

Other than that, I haven't been disappointed with it.

I looked at Youtube as well, it didn't have a couple channels I wanted though.

We buy Hulu tv, have base Prime (mainly for the shipping), and leech Netflix. So for us it's cheaper.

I'm currently with Spectrum (formerly time warner) and pay $155 for internet, cable, and phone, but that includes HBO, SHO, MAX, and the Filipino channel. When that ends... I'll be looking for other options.

Renting means your choice for things like dishes is limited... Not that I've really heard anything good about them...(I'm assuming spectrum is a dish, since I've never heard of it)

We cut the cord a couple years back.......tried Directtv Now,Sling and **** I forget the other.Anyway we finally got dialed into PlayStation Vue and couldn't be happier.Has in my opinion the perfect amount of channels,I'm not sitting around fumbling through 500 channels with nothing to watch.I have the sports package for like $6-7 extra and it's loaded. It's like $50 a month and we'd still have internet regardless,we do not have a cable provider in our area so it's stream or dish.......and I am done with a dish.

Cable was insanely expensive. Lowest package was over $100/mo. I cancelled that in 2011-12ish. Everyone says call Comcast and you'll get intro price again etc. It didn't work that way. I called, asked if I could get bill reduced and they said your intro pricing expired. So I said cancel it, and they did.

Don't miss it. But I rarely watch TV. Really only watch SouthPark and Family Guy, maybe some other Cartoon Network stuff but most of that is available on Adult Swim website.

Had Netflix, but then my favorite shows left Netflix for Hulu, so now we have that. Really don't care to watch anything new. I've rewatched all my shows many times over, still enjoy em. Typically watching something means it's on the TV while I'm doing something else.

Redbox for new movies.

Antenna in the attic for TV.

Still paying $100ish a month for internet, Comcast won't reprice that - we've called at least twice. Zero other options where I live unless I want satellite (I don't)
