The end of November I'm staying 4 nights at the Rio in a 1600sf room. The wife likes the Counts tattoo shop in the Rio.

Don't know if you guys have looked...........but the weather in Vegas is going to be perfect, low 80's for the high, low 60's for the low. This has been the case for the last 10-12 years this week for us.Don't tell anyone.........I'd hate for this week to get crowded in the future.

Thanks. Our kids went to UNLV so a little familiar with the weather patterns. Packing a whole bunch of shorts and t-shirts but bringing a jacket for those cold nights (...hey, I’m from Hawaii, whatja expect?...).

Of course there are those times when Mother Nature likes to keep you on your toes. Last time we were there (July 2016), had a lot of cloud coverage and some rain so they were warning people to not be fooled by the “humid” weather (...RH in the 60-ish percent...) and to stay hydrated. d'oh!

Manan bakery... Little Russian bakery a few miles away from the strip... If you're in to that kind of thing, it was amazing.... Small, crazy good prices, no crowd, and everything looked and tasted amazing... It was the highlight of a bit of a disappointing trip... Do not eat at the Armenian place next door...

Usual dinner with MIL. Didn’t make any sense to go home only to head back to the airport 45 minutes later so checked in and cruising at the airport.

Never been so early for a flight. Need to find an open bar.

I'm working overtime right now, at my previous facility. Trying to work my way back here permanently. 9 mile drive vs almost 50.

Only one open bar in the terminal - Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill - best bourbon they have is Basil Hayden.

Two more hours before our flight....

That's a 9 mile drive each way or a 47 mile drive each way. My new truck has 11,5++ miles on it and when I bought it May 14th it had 11 miles on the odo.

Left my jacket at home, flew in wearing shorts...big mistake. North winds cooling the temps down to the low 70s / mid-60s. Spending as much time indoors as possible.

Kinda used to the 6 nights stay. Been here often enough to not get too excited about the place. In fact, I barely gamble. Am even after 3-1/2 days so that’s a win for me!

Meeting and getting to herf with Ron and Chris was a hoot! Hopefully we’ll be able to see each other again next year.

Bringing all my alcohol back is gonna be interesting.

Last night 3 of my classmates and I booked a session at the Whisky Attic and had a great experience learning the histories of and facts about various whisky / whiskey types. Learned a tasting method called CSTEM, dunno if I’’m going to use it on a regular basis but it was interesting. Had 5 different (...and all new to me...) whiskys - Black Eagle Honey Bourbon, Dalmore 12, Sensei Whiskey, Old Forester 100 Proof Signature and Crown Royal XO.

Good fun too, we even drank some of JD’s moonshine.

If you’re ever in Vegas I’d recommend this place. Easy to find, behind the Orleans Casino on Harmon. Just make sure you make a reservation first as they don’t take walk-ins.

Finally got back home and settled back in (Unfortunately already doing the work thing again)

Had a blast in Vegas, different place indeed especially coming from the south lol.
Met Ron, Annie (Ron's wife) Tim (Ron's friend), Conan, and Homer (doesn't post on forums) and all were outstanding individuals..... Well I'm giving Ron a bit too much credit but the rest were awesome! We saw a lot of the local sights, ate at some great places and tried some great bourbon and drinks at a place called Oak & Ivy in the downtown container park!

All in all had a great time, but definitely glad to be back home! Hopefully we can do it again one day! Herfing Herfing

I would have but my wife hates it and I wasn't expecting any better reaction from Mandy,Chris's wife.Probably kept both of us out of trouble on that call.

Got home. Had a great time with Chris, Mandy (Chris' wife), Ron and Annie. Initially met up with Ron and Chris at Roy's Liquors. Was able to recognize them 'cause they were the two rednecks with most of their teeth. Laugh Conversely they could tell it was us despite looking like every other Asian. After Roy's we reconvened to smoke, talk more and drink at Casa Fuente. As many of you already know, Ron and Chris are top notch and generous brothers and they certainly proved it when we got to CF. The only bummer was that we couldn't hook up with them again as Homer and I were there for our high school reunion and had events planned from Tuesday till last night. Looking forward to planning next October's trip and seeing them again.
