I just don't know how dumb our president can get...

Are we broken up by a dead journalist? No.
But should the us president say "well... They spend 110bn on us military hardware, so I don't think we should do anything about it"?

I am dumbfounded that you have a problem here. Do you care at all about one journalist? Should anyone be shocked that $110B in arms + Iran counter state + world's greatest oil reserves > than some journalist we never heard of before this week?

Not my math, but pretty easy to 'justify ' if you are Kushner

Didn't I say we aren't broken up by a dead journalist?

Don't care that much about him.... Reread my statement.

However, 2 things were done wrong. 1- we still need to punish for this action. Thats a matter of maintaining our image (not a big punishment, a slap). And 2- you never say out loud that "it's ok they killed one dude... The $ is more important".

If his mom was in the hit squad they could at least justify it that way. ;)

How do you know that they didn’t pay a price privately not publicly? You don’t you just like to pretend you’re 10% as smart as our greatest POTUS ever.

Amusing the way the administration continues to humor the Saudis....and I can understand some of those who aren't exactly laughing

I have zero doubt the guy was killed and that the king or prince knew, if not ordered it

What I'm curious about is the Turks. Not too surprised that a host country snoops inside resident embassies....but, what possessed them to admit it? Just a leak? "Uh...we listened to the whole thing....I mean..uh....we might know someone who said they have an uncle who might have heard something....hey! look at them!....never mind"

Take a blacklight in there and shine it around....

I bet the f**k-er LIGHTS UP LIKE A RED ROOF HOTEL BED SPREAD ON THE FOURTH OF JULY...

PROLLY A LOT OF BONE CHIPS AROUND TOO?

OR their featuring A COMMERCIAL HAMBURGER GRINDER down IN THE BASEMENT BOWELS Of the embassy AND THE DUDE IS LONG GONE DOWN THE TURKISH SEWER SYSTEM ....which I dare say is a real cesspool of N.A.S.T.Y.....way worse than Paris or Cologne..

"Rogue" killers?
Getting stories matched up with the Saudis...the people that brought you 9/11?

Just how many dictators does Trump owe?...

we can't let this determine foreign policy.

Ya, I'm not buying it either. Plus he was fat and old, that guy wasn't fighting anyone.

If you blow them up though, have to blow up Iran too just make the playing field even.

The Saudis will parade some guys out of prison and whack their heads off and say "we got 'em".

I think this is a very difficult situation. So to speak we rely on Saudi Arabia and Israeli as our boots on the ground in the middle east. I have no idea of what is an appropriate action here. It seems to me foreign policy and what is morally/ethically right contradict each other in this situation.

this not the first inexcusable (yet excused by us) move by Saudis in recent years, yes going back to W but also including Obama too.
And Turkey is adding to our dilemma.

If Saudis ramp up oil production, that would hurt Iran, and Trump will help get them through this in the international community...but there's another less publicized motive here.

Start watching for "news" releases from unnamed sources (read: right wing) bashing Khasshogi, weak old links to Bin Laden et al, and even more attacks on journalism.

Anyone else not surprised at the timing of Trump's glowing account at the Montana rally of the physical assault of a journalist last year?
"...he's my kind of guy". This about the attack for the reporter asking about the GOP Health Care Bill.

The Rep, by the way, was found guilty, light punishment but guilty and considered a hero by Trump.

I think we should continue to condemn and punish the similar actions of “leaders” like Kim Jong-un, Putin, and Assad, while allowing Saudi Arabia to do whatever they want. It's great that we show the entire world every once in a while that our morals are for sale. Anyways, I heard there were good people on both sides of that bone saw...both sides.

Turkey has been on point the entire way. Aggressively so. If I didn't know better, I'd say they are interested in replacing the Saudis as our primary Iran foil in the region.

The Saudi guberment will offer some low-level "rogue" lackey to take the fall so they can continue to buy arms off the US. The Saudi Prince will have another party and won't even be given a slap on the wrist. We will just buy more oil from them.

That is all.

pretty close, only change I would propose is that we will find a reason so we can sell them arms. They can buy them from others too.
