Burn was perfect, draw just a touch snug but still good amount of smoke. 1/3 was bland, 2/3 was pretty good, and final 3rd got hot on me. My first go with the genius but I smoked a Corona rott so might do that next to compare better.

Ravi continues to impress. The cigar rest is nice....but today's sale is nicer.
If you don't get CoH email specials, I suggest you check them out.
Punch Punch and HUHC, in particular, caused me to order within minutes of getting the email.

I assume the little screw end on the rest is a punch? Can't figure any other use.

do you ever ask him for the current box code list?
last time I did, maybe 2 months ago, he had very, very little beyond 2016.

I never have asked. Love both Punch Punch and HUHC fresh. Others stuff I put down for months and years anyway.
As to the cigar rest, I've seen similar that claim to be a bottle opener on the bottom, but I can't visualize that and haven't tried it.

once in a while I email Ravi for the box codes.
the guy responds quickly.

rfenster taught me that, and to also ask for the box to be opened and inspected for mold/breakage.

have come up with a few boxes of good years here and there.

Last two years have been bad in general for the crops. Still, I have had some good boxes but it has been uneven at best. Even my custom guy has had to change his blend profile with mixed results.

I haven't been very involved the last couple of years, but out of the blue got an email from Rob the Australian Friend czar today. He said what you wrote regarding the last two years and pointed out 2018 as a poor year, even citing the rolling and use/non use of bands.

He did list his top 10 for the year though.

Just smoked the last remaining Bolivar Colasales RE Germany POS AUG '06

These have been, by far, the best Bolivars I have ever smoked. From a cab. Wish I had bought many cabs.

I saw that, and it's quite tempting! I'm halfway through or more on my current one.

I prefer cabs for long term storage and flavor, but sadly a handful of the regulars have been dropped/discontinued, at least the ones I enjoy.

Another great one received from a trade with stinger. You, sir, have made this holiday season extra special for me with the selection of cigars you sent.

Thanks, David!!!

CoRo '13 with the brother-in-law to celebrate X-mas. First cigar in weeks thanks to an endless head cold and busy life. Tasted so good.
