My latest score is 2 giant boxes of assorted brand new cheap azz torch lighters for $75 from an auction (after all fees and crap).

There was over 150 torches. So I got them for less than 50 cents a piece :D

I know some would rather have 2 xikar lighters with the infinite warranty... but warranty doesn't cover lost lighters... and I lose a lot of lighters.

IMO, they work just as good as any other torch.

Different smokes for different folks.

I had a Le Careme canonazo on Sunday afternoon that I got from that planet place in Florida, got two just to try out that was back when “what did the F X say” in Phoenix had them for $109 a box. Missed out on that deal because I hadn’t smoked one of these yet. I burned one, bid on and won a box of the Le Careme 6-1/2”x48 which is generally my favorite vitola of any cigar that I have. So I’ll let these rest and see if they’re also my favorite vitola.

They pair very well with dark beers, had a few Boulder Brewing Shakes with the Le Careme and it was excellent. Perfect day warm no wind just awesome that attributes to how a cigar tastes.

Jericho Hill is also one of my favorites in the LBV 6.5x46 vitola. Herfing

I got a 6 pack of Cain Maduro the other day at the MB3 place. Added it on to a gift I bought for my brother.

Today I picked up a box worth (20) of Camacho Triple Maduro Robusto at the Tenski place. Cant beat the price at 4 dollars per smoke. The email I received said "private sale" so I think you have to be signed up to their email list to get this deal. I also added a Tenski of Rocky Patel Decade Toro to the order--also at 4 dollars per.

That's it so far this off-season. I dont plan on getting much else other than the MB3 deal whenever that comes around. I stocked up big time (for me) last year so I've been spending my extra cash on other hobbies.

Just an FYI the MB3 place is having a good sale on Oliva products this weekend. Good deals on Serie V and Serie V Melanio.

The Tenski place has a good deal on La Aroma de Cuba "Mi Amor" Belicoso, 10 packs. Cheapest I've seen them over the last couple years and I try to keep up with the low price on this blend...

I felt like I had to buy one even though I said I was done...

Hope this helps a few of you guys that enjoy this smoke.

Take care

BUYER BEWARE:

"We received our shipment of la Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Belicoso today and they look nothing like what we ordered from you all previously. On 2/3/18 we ordered a five pack from "Tenski Place" at a price of 32.94. Order #XXXXXXX. These cigars had a bar code sticker on the back of them with the size and dimensions of the cigar and they were sealed. More importantly the cigar itself has a firm pack and is a well made cigar.

Today's shipment however does not have that sticker, but of most concern is the smaller size of the cigar. It's noticeable. The 10 cigars we received today, order #XXXXXXX look nothing like what we purchased before. They are really old and completely under filled. At $43.71 for ten we thought we were getting a nice deal but now I'm not sure they're even real.

We would like to exchange these cigars for 10 that are properly filled, with the bar code stickers on the back. If that's not possible we would like to return these cigars and receive a full refund.

Pictures attached of what we received today on the left and what we received on 2/3/18 on the right:"

They are so under filled that they're probably 20% smaller. Even the bands are a little off. Will update when I hear something back from them.

Here's the update: After about an hour waiting, arguing, waiting and arguing some more, they finally offered to send me a shipping label for a return. At that point I basically told them to go fu*k themselves. At no time did they offer an exchange, and they wanted me to pay shipping to return the cigars to them up until the very end of the convo when I told them that I'd just take my business to the MB3 place.

They even admitted that the cigars did not look the same as the 5 pack they sent me in February. They said the cigars may "plump up" with humidor time. The cigars they sent me were much older (yello cello) than the exact same blend that have been sitting in my humidor for almost a year. So that begs the question, what's wrong with their humidor? None of the other cigars they have sent me looked like that. They must be storing the La Aroma de Cubas in a different humidor.

Time will tell I guess, and I will update. If the cigars taste like sh*t and burn like sh*t, or even taste off, I will never do business with them again.

Robert, I no longer order from that place. I bought a bunch of PDR 1878s that where on special, but they all tasted of mildew. Kind of like they've been sitting in a over humidified warehouse for years. I've had 1878s from other places that where very good.

A few months back, I grabbed some La Palina reds and blacks. Size was suppose to be 6" x 50. They measured 6" x 54 and did not taste right. All the reds and blacks I've received elsewhere measured 50 ring. Makes one think that many of the cigars they put on special are mistakes and rejects. From now on I'm sticking with Cbid and a couple other places.

That's unfortunate to hear. This was my first bad experience with the Tenski place after numerous orders. The Camacho Triple Maduros that I had ordered, just a few days before, looked fine upon inspection. They were sealed and stamped by the factory in 5 pk bundles.

As for Cbid I still dont know if the problems have been ironed out all the way enough for me to bid. Have you had any issues with them since the meltdown?

I'm just going to use the MB3 place and "the other place" for now. We'll see how those La Aroma de Cubas smoke.

Take care.

I've had no problems wth the tenski place, but those PDR 1878's are on sale there again and I'm not going to take a chance on them. The 1878 Capa Maduras were very good several years ago and I still have a few of them.

Tony,

The 1878 Maduro, Oscuro and Sungrown, as well as the 1975 Maduro and Natural all have a mildew, damp basement note. No mold, but they taste like they've been stored for years in a damp basement. I think it wise that you stay clear of that sale.

Robert, I've been a member here since '09 with over 7k posts, but the powers that be decided to close my account in '14. I didn't came back till last spring under my wife's account, so I missed the melt down. This spring/summer I won several hundred cigars here. Everything was in good shape and shipping was on time. I'm on a buying freeze right now, but as soon as the Jersey house sells, I'll be back here bidding again.

.....I ordered a Box of 20 of the new Cain CT 650 (6" x 50) from the other place a few weeks and they are a major disappointment. This has NOTHING to do with the retailer tough. For a cigar made by Oliva under the always full flavored Cain brand I was expecting something at least semi unique. What I got were 20 sticks with a lousy draw. They look amazing but offer up only thin puffs of smoke. The 5 I have burned thus far, after sending a 3 inch nail down the middle to get at least an average draw, have been ho-hum. Nothing better than 5 Vegas Gold or CAO Black which you can score here for under $2.50 per any day.

.....I started ordering monthly here again in January 2017 and have not had a single issue with any of my 37 seperate orders. About the only drawback CBid has is selection. Not the amount of lots offered for bid, but the amount of different blends. Adding new brands to their list consistently in any real amount has been slow and rare, especially when compared to the other Pa Cigar auction which seems to offer up every new blend made at some discount. But as far as purchasing my daily favorite smokes like La Herencia Cubana CORE, Man O War Virtue, Genesis, HC Series Habano2 and Maduro2 and a few others CigarBid is awesome.

just last week for my 1/3/18 I scored the following:

La Herencia Cubana CORE Toro (6.5" x 52) 30 Cigars for $72.00.

Man O' War Virtue Torpedo (6.5" x 52) 20 Cigars 5 for $50.00.

Man O' War Side Project: Phalanx (6.5" x 56) 20 Cigars for $54.00.

Camacho Check Six Toro (6" x 52) Pack of 10 for $30.00.

Ramon Bueso Exclusivo No. 1 (7.5" x 52) Box of 20 for $42.50.

Oliva 2nds Liga V Churchill (7" x 52) Pack of 15 for $29.50.

601 La Bomba Flash Bang (4.5" x 60) Pack of 10 for $23.50.

Cohiba Nicaragua N5 (5.5" x 54) 5 Singles for $17.50.

Quesada Q D'Etat Molotov (5" x 58) Pack of 5 for $13.00.

La Palina No. 1 Robusto (5.5" x 50) Pack of 5 for $14.00.

CAO Nicaragua Toro (6" x 50) Pack of 5 for $13.00.

Got an e-mail from another site on New Year’s Day but didn’t look at it till today. They were having a sale plus an additional 20% off on ALL items...including WOAMs. For S&G, I clicked on the picture and saw a sale price of 159.98! Thought “Wow! That’s a GREAT price!!” Went through the checkout process, applied the promo code and DAMN! they took 20% off of the sale price! Ran to get my wallet, pulled out my charge card and completed the order.

Final price with UPS 3-day Ground shipping came out to $137.96. Merry Early Christmas 2019 to me! Beer

That is a steal!!! I received the same price offer but they didn't include the 20% off code. I'm tempted to order a box anyway, it's still a good deal. Think

I still see them on sale. Try this promo code: hc20 - who knows, maybe they’ll honor it?

Looks like quite the haul. I've had the Punisher jalepeno popper before. I like them, but know a couple people who despised them. Helps if you're into spicy food. I'd swear they dip the wrapper in habanero juice.

that's possible. I had a raunchy Gurkha Fuerte Toro once and all it did was make my lips hot when puffing. The flavor was generic and hardly average like most Gurkha smokes. Cu Avana is not known for dishing out top shelf premiums LOL!

$13.45 shipped for an ugly green Acid branded, Palio cutter, LOL! I have mis-placed my camo one from years ago, and just wanted to replace it, it's got a lifetime warranty, AND one of the best cutters I've used.

I deleted a duplicate comment, but went to bed with a lowball bid as my maximum bid ($7 less than another EXACT SAME CUTTER that I misplaced, with a current bid of $13 and 2 days remaining?!?!?!?)

I got the second Palio cutter in the exact Grand Forest Camo I've been using off and on for 5 years now, for $6 and $1 added shipping, since I just won that scary, limey camo Acid branded one about an hour before, hehe! $10.225 for two lifetime Palio cutters, shipping included, might not be that cheap, but looks pretty good to me, LOL.

NOW, I won't be bringing the forest camo cutter downstairs, LMAO!!!!! Mrs Numi has a touch of OCD, and I had feared leaving that cutter by the back door to the garage, based on the fact that she can't stand loose items sitting around on countertops, etc!?!?!? WE have a countertop across both appliances in the washer and dryer room, which is the entry room from the enclosed garage into the main open living room portion of the downstairs. I sit just outside that door and can smoke while remaining fairly warm, but the smoke can vent out of the partially opened garage door, which is opens to the South. My other main cutter is on my key ring, which hangs on a key/keyhoder hanger at the back door. A XIKAR multi-tool, but it has actually become a bit dull and was often cracking the wrapping at the head!!!

I think some of the merchandise is overlooked and seasonal. I haven't tried the old sloppymcnubble site, in years, LOL. Maybe I should see if it's even still operating!

sloppymcnubble update and an old thread will get topped, LMAO!!!

1) LOVE the Xikar multi tool. Same problem with the dullness. Word is they'll resharpen for life but have been to lazy to look into.

2) You have all failed me. I started playing on the forum to distract myself from more auctions. Yet I have slipped and won 8-5ers and a ten pack over the past 3 days d'oh!

I have no self control so thread entertainment value MUST increase!!! Pretty please with sugar on top Pray

HEHE!

I agree with the multi-tool, I have been too busy to send off six different Xikar products for repair/replacement. Maybe I can get that done next month. First, I have 3 or 4 BOMBS to unleash!!!! Someone here is gonna be in for a rude awakening, hehe!

I can only make things even worse for you, because I'm a cheapskate and know how to control myself, as well as put lowball maximum bids, so as to get THE cheapest deal out there!

That's why I kept quiet overnight about the Palio cutters. Seems to be low interest in them, especially those UGLY branded ones, BWAHAHAHAHA! They are still just as functional AND lifetime warranty. Problem is, if you can't find it, you can't send it back, LOL! I now have my own room for my "collections" that will fit inside of a room, LMAO! SO, my wife doesn't go not that upstairs room. It's 24x13' and ALL mine, LMAO! Antique horse drawn farm implements don't fit in well inside a home. Most anyways! I do have a one row, horse drawn cotton planter that is going on the upstairs loft/walkway.

Picked up a 10 pack of Roma Craft Neanderthal HN at the tenski place. The 5x58/52 figurado. Came out to 7.80 per smoke. Been wanting to try these for a while and this was the cheapest price I've seen.

Plus they added in a "free" Palio 70 ring gauge cutter. Brings the cost of the smokes down some considering these cutters sale for 15 to 25 bucks.

I've been wanting to try some of the Roma Craft lines. Bet you got your pack of 10 at the other Pa auction site? They offer up most of their lines for around $5 per in Packs of ten. They offer a few here at CBid now and then in Boxes but they are always mini sizes.
