It goes beyond that, Gene.
Talking to my best friend, "Irish Bob", who grew up in Londonderry, Northern Ireland during "The Troubles" . . .
He said Whitey supplied the IRA with a schittload of guns that killed many innocent civilians in Northern Ireland.
I'm assuming that not ALL of those civilians were criminal.

Those civilians were victims of IRA violence and by extension, according to your friend, Whitey Bulger, but they were not criminals in jail killing one another, two totally different groups.
