Up to 40 degrees today. Melted the snow.

Looks like the east coast Brothers are taking a frosty smack down.

Spindrift from Costco... It's canned carbonated water with fresh fruit juice... No sweetener... But I make simple syrup and keep it in the fridge...

I was skeptical, but basically after sweetening, the grapefruit one becomes really good squirt, and the lemon one turns into really good seven up like they make at the Mexico factories... Sounds ridiculous, but it's so much lighter and more refreshing than soda... I'm a fan...

Time to do some shoveling. Got a neighbor coming home from an ambulance trip to the hospital last night, that needs a path to the house.

Doc says the kids probably got noro.... Considering his teacher puked in class last week and his class has 5 kids absent today and an average of 3 absent per day for the last 2 weeks, I'd say that's probably right...

It's like aids... But not deadly... And a lot more temporary... And deals more with the stomach than the immune system...

took a one week Carnival cruise to the Caribbean, American Virgin isle tour, as a sub for my DIL, who was pregnant and advised not to go...had a great time with my son and grandson and members of my DIL's family and friends...

Noro is avoidable with handwashing for the most part... Issue with cruises is that they offload passengers and load up new ones with no break between... So the common areas can become infected rather easily and it's very difficult to keep them sanitized with people moving about so much... So when it gets real bad, they quarantine passengers to their rooms... It's rare, and definitely not a reason to avoid a cruise...

As for our situation, the boy picked it up from school and gave it to his sister... Wife and I are ok... Probably something we've already had...

Good morning, peeps.
Temp right now is 47F with a high today of 77 by late afternoon.
Going to a couple art festivals in the area this weekend. Might stay for a chili cook-off and craft beer tasting. We'll see...

Making an attempt to switch over to black coffee, this morning.
I've heard it said, "Once you go black, you'll never go back."

only drink coffee black, nearly from the start of my coffee drinking life...didn't like how creamers and sweeteners masked the rich coffee flavors...
