HAHA......it does a bit, my favorite Applegate Valley wineries are on hillsides. This is a 38 acre piece of land that a man got in 1977 at retirement for a “hobby” farm. Quite large for that! Well the current owners got it from him in 1997 as a wedding gift from the brides father (very wealthy). The original owner never sold wine.
Serra closed the tasting room at the end of November, this was my usual drink their excellent Cab Franc (2012 which was an amazing year here for wine). The micro climate thing is a bit of a joke around here, many of the people who work in the hours-toity places like to talk about that.
Serra now will only sell wholesale.
