South Dakota is now requiring tax be collected on Internet purchases.

Now Cigar Bid has decided to not allow auction participants from South Dakota.

Are there states that are taxed elsewhere still on cigarbid?

My email says they were no longer do business with South Dakotans. They told me to get A mail to address outside of South Dakota.

I would pay taxes but they will not allow me to participate in auctions with a mailing address in South Dakota

Fore shadowing of the sh it that’s bound to happen to us all with politicians involved. Sorry you can’t bid here anymore, hope it gets resolved sooner rather than later.

Yeah then that person has to forward the smokes to him. There’s nothing here anymore that good to go to that trouble over, IMO.

The best thing about Cbid is the message board.

Double posting on the other hand...

Did you ever figure out why they won’t ship?

NJ just passed the sales tax on Internet purchases this week. Murphy is a P O S, If my daughter wasn't here I'd left NJ by now.

Damn, glad I moved out of NJ.
Though living in NYC isn't an improvement at all...

There must be some requirements by South Dakota that are unacceptable to CI.

Maybe CI/CBid doesn't get enough business from SD to justify the cost of collecting and remitting tax money...

I learned that the distributor has to register the tobacco brands that they sell with the state.

Well, the Californian, Chicago, NY and other Libtards have infiltrated one of the last bastions of democracy and Capitalism. Huge influx of the medical community here in Sioux Falls and Rapid City are to blame. They want to bring that coastal "sensibility" to the fly over states because we don't know what is best for us, so they overcomplicate things to get their communist agenda passed. Gun control is starting to occur here too. I guess anything that is dangerous (other than people in Government who piss on the Constitution) are not allowed in the neonational socialist agenda. This is a shame. Cigars International stopped shipping here too. Thankfully I'm 10 miles from both IA and MN. MN is full of libtards too, but I'll have to check on POBs in rural IA..... Yet another Gov't crackdown on commerce.

What about those "other competitors"
Based in NORTH CAROLINA AND FLORIDA?

ARE THEY COLLECTING SALES TAXES NOW TOO?

I HAVENT ORDERED FROM THEM IN OVER 5? YEARS...
And when I visited their outlet shops in both states they had gotten way smaller AND NO DEALS AT ALL...
EXCEPT FOR "FILTERED CIGARS" THAT WERE REALLY CIGARETTES , for $8.00-$10.00 for a carton of 10 packs of
"20 of cigars" each.

They just started collecting sales tax from me on my most recent order. I'm surprised it took this long, honestly (California).
