Tom Brady and the Patriots offense FINALLY had a decent showing in Miami.
I was at a family gathering and only watched bits and pieces. but when I shut the game off with 20 seconds remaining, the Pats had a commanding 5 point lead.

Right?

Gronk is a great TE.

Safety not so much.....

Granted, I haven't watched much Patriots football, other than YouTube highlights, but Gronk seems "stiff" and a step slower.
Not surprising considering what he does for a living, and schlepping around that massive arm brace.

Still, he looked SO pathetic, clumsy, old and slow on that last play...............maybe he wasn't paying attention?

Yes............Hail Mary defender? Probably great...
Safety expected to make a tackle? Nope
After watching it a few times, there were SEVERAL Patriot players who dogged it, thinking the "other guy" was sure to make the tackle.
Bill gonna be angry...

I guess if you call blowing it in the final seconds of the game a "decent showing" then you are correct. ram27bat

I don't mind Gronk defending a TRUE hail mary play.
But I don't think anybody felt Tannehill (sp?) could reach the end zone. They HAD to play it short like they did.
Putting Gronk in there made zero sense, considering.

Still.
That's a fun ending if you're not a Pats fan.

Yeah........there's a few "experts" putting this one on Bill, for exactly that reason.

Why have Gronk on the field and McCourty on the bench? Confused

because the conventional play was a hail mary, and Gronk excels at those...BB prolly hoped they would throw a short pass by putting Gronk in, since the odds of those turning into game winners are less than hail mary passes...whoda thunk the play would force Gronk to be a safety because the other 10 defenders didn't do their jobs...

From the BB post game press conference:
You'd like to think that, wouldn't you?! You've beaten my giant, which means you're exceptionally strong, so you could've put the poison in your own goblet, trusting on your strength to save you, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you! But, you've also bested my Spaniard, which means you must have studied, and in studying you must have learned that man is mortal, so you would have put the poison as far from yourself as possible, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me!

I never knew Belichick was Sicilian...

Dat is gonna be an important game.......for da Steelers.
Looks like this end of game fubar stunt may cost the Pats home field........and that could be big.

That's a fun ending if you're not a Pats fan.

What a GREAT day!
Started off by making a giant pot of pasta gravy ( tomato sauce for u non Italians) loaded with homemade meatballs & italian sausage. Then put out a giant antipasta plate & sat eating & drinking watching the GIANTS play their best game of a few years. Then to top it off watching the end of the Miami pats game. The look on panty boy Brady’s face & the inempt attempt of gronk to stop the play was the icing on the cake. All I could think of was poor TG probably losing it from both ends.
Sorry TG that you did not get to watch it live.

No worries.
This is just the regular season.
Giants fans don't know it, but there are games in January.
