Some of the names I've heard somewhat prominently in the news in recent days.....
Kasich, Cruz, Rubio, Fiorina, Walker, Huckabee, Christie, Graham, (Jeb, even...though not contrived, of course)....many getting a little more vocal about criticizing the administration ...
Since I don't believe in coincidences, I gotta think there's some conscious jockeying going on in case the fan gets hit worse in coming months

I doubt it...but coincidentally....if not for a couple of Axl's contemporaries, Navarro and Flea, maybe none of us would have gotten the reference

I hope nothing happens to bring a different republican in.
I'm still pissed the Dems got the house.

The orange moron needs to be president for 2 full terms. Ideally with a republican house and Senate. Otherwise we will get an even dumber president at a later date.

Was he boringly saying something like this:

"I see nothing in the Constitution which prohibits a presidential candidate from building a hotel in Moscow."?

That was his m.o. when I saw him on tv on Sunday...

Agreed. But more importantly, the ramifications of a president's actions take years to become clear. If short bus mcorange is out in 4 years he and his supporters will claim that he did a great job, and blame all the subsequent fallout on whoever follows. They will continue to think they made a smart decision by voting for a reality TV blowhard, and will continue with that voting pattern in later elections.

I would argue we should force trump to be president for 3 terms, just to make sure everyone understands what happens when we elect an idiot to president.

Think
Pretty sure Joe is a Dem.
You might be thinking of John Kennedy.

The Dems NEED something new and fresh and smaht.
Bernie, Biden, Hilary, et al just not gonna be enough to unseat Trump......imo.......no matter how much he shoves his foot in his mouth.

But Joe? He can grab the young, the women, the old school conservative Dems who quietly defected, and win.........quite easily I think.

The "rules" have changed thanks to Trump.
No need for Joe to become a Senator first and all that nonsense.........throw your hat in NOW young man!

the first fallout that comes to mind is the huge debt that will pile up as Trump's corporate and wealthy tax cuts take effect over several years...even Trump said it's not his problem, because he won't be around then...

.... Well... I also could have been talking about a prolapse... You know... Like when the farmers rectums fallout after they get seriously f-ked with this "easy to win" trade war.

There's a lot of things that will likely go horribly horribly wrong in the next 6 years due to decisions in the past 2. Why do I have to pick just one?

I just don't want another politician (of either party) to be stuck holding the bag when it happens. Because then we'll get another trump (or an even dumber one) later.

fresh air and clean water are also being sacrificed, and as citizens' fallout of the working class due to health issues, someone will have to clean up those messes...

Can't blame trump for all of that tho. He's rolled back some regulations, so I'm sure he will have a negative impact, but that's a long term issue which has been impacted by many people along the way.

true, public health is a very complex phenomena, with myriad factors...but environmentalists are warning about the sudden reversals that Trump has made, which could cause a noticeable and traceable spike in public health problems...the spike would be noticeable compared to the slow downward trend of environmentally caused health issues over the years before his decisions were made...

Yeah.. I agree. But I'm not expecting anything complex to make sense to the trump voters. It needs to be simple, direct a-to-b cause and effect to have any hope of having a positive impact on voting habits.

So you make a bold statement. That there will be fallout.

When asked for specifics you say "There are SO MANY that I can't name just one".

Then you simply agreed with a vague statement that Al made.

You literally haven't answered, then blame me for it.

You've officially become a full fledged liberal.

Umm... Maybe I missed it, but I believe Al mentioned tax cuts. I mentioned that I expected (and we have already seen evidence of it) negative impacts on the farmers from our trade war.

These are two separate actions (both will likely have negative consequences). So tell me again where I didn't answer?

apologies....I swore a few months ago to be civil and to avoid name calling...to stick to the facts while posting here...

well, here's a fact: Trump has a Pecker problem...

SDNY is preparing to prosecute Trump for the crimes he committed with Cohen, and will buttress the case with testimony and evidence provided by David Pecker and AMI corp (National Enquirer) ...a document released by SDNY spells out a non-prosecution deal with Pecker and Weisselberg...and ominously for Trump, it alludes to other crimes committed by him and his family: Jr, Ivanka and Jared...train is slowly rolling down the track, leaving the station...

Interesting his choice of words.

Tail has now regressed to the point where he no longer distinguishes political parties based on political ideas.

See what's happened there? I'm not a "liberal" because I want everyone to have healthcare (I don't) or I want to restrict gun rights (I don't) or I think gay people should be considered people too (ok I do there) or because I support abortion rights (I do)

He believes I'm a liberal because in his mind (his erroneous mind) I didn't answer a question and blamed him for it. Now that's hilarious on a whole lot of levels (we could look at this administration's press conferences for examples of this and never run out) but what is not hilarious about it is the window into his mind it provides.

According to tail, the definition of "liberal" is a bucket of behaviors he doesn't like (and which are hilariously represented by politicians on both sides)
One can only assume that in his mind he believes conservatives are by definition absent these negative traits... Because they aren't liberals.

This is a stance which makes discussion impossible.
