Um... Gene... Pretty sure they were going after those before they went after bump stocks. I've heard people complaining about that for forever.

Bumpstocks should be legal... Because who cares? If a dude wants to mow down a crowd of people we'll arrest him afterwards (assuming he's white) and put him in jail. That's how law works. I am not personally that concerned about what damage he may do before being arrested... The world isn't meant to be that safe.

You’re on to something. Since global warming is man made, reducing population density should have a net positive effect on global warming.

It will. I've said for a very long time that we can simply choose to drive whatever we want, or use coal or anything like that as long as we're willing to reduce our global population by at least 1/10th and keep it there first. Even better if we get it down to 0.5BB.

I don't know if you ever had an opportunity to accidentally overgrow petri dishes, or tissue culture plates... I did it plenty of times in my youth. It's most visible with tissue culture media. You have to constantly change out the media, because the waste products of the cells literally change the environment. Without our intervention, they overgrow, contaminate the micro-environment they are in, and ultimately kill themselves.

Same thing actually happened with our planet 2.4 billion years ago when anaerobic bacteria polluted it with a waste product (oxygen)

Freedom isn't safe, besides the same azzhole can build a bomb of steel a truck and probably do more damage anyway. If you want ultimate safety a locked penitentiary cell is perfect.

Not a petri dish, but I did have an overpopulated fish tank. I eventually tired of vacuuming the detris. So I kinda know what you're talking about.

it will be interesting to see what "laws" will prevail: man vs nature...

Can man survive while exploiting nature, exhausting life sustaining resources, doing damage in the process?

... in reality, I shouldn't really GAF, since I'll be long gone when the bill comes due...

the Trump Administration announced on Tuesday that it has banned bump stocks. Existing owners have 90 days to dispose of them. They will be illegal in March 2019.

Yay....

if I didn't become a convert to most of the CBid world's belief that additional gun control laws will not stop mass shootings, this might be a genuine cause for celebration...gee, thanks guys...

...even Trump's supporters are not saying anything...poor guy...

Wish he could bum Stocks, Up. If this keeps up, I'll be unable to stay on track for retiring at age 85.

Btw, the guy in Vegas either had a lot of practice, or got lucky. Was able to experience the Bump Stock. It didn't work as designed as often as it did.

he was shooting indiscriminately into a mass of people piled into a big confined area...just point and shoot until the crowd thinned some, then use semi-auto w/o bump stock shooting into smaller groups of peeps???

I dunno...never thought about anything this insane before...
