Are these good because the MB1s and 2s are mythical? Or because they once cost north of $5 per? Or do you guys really like them?
Been a few years...and I admit I tried quite a few of them, so I didn't hate them....but my overwhelming flavor memory is of chalk....got rather tired of them....I recall them as one of the driest finishes of any cigar

Mb I should revisit....

I don't love them... If I needed cigars at that price, those would probably be some I'd look at... But the last time I got this deal, the robs and torps burned loose and harsh...

Same. Very astringent.

They're not awful, but not great. If I was doing the yard gar thing I'd keep em around, and I used to for that reason. But they're just not for me.

The last time I bought was Oct, 2016.......to check them out...kind of a fall on the sword thing to see if they’re still good.
I smoked one soon after and determined, that with a longer nap, they would be worth $3 for me.
Most of those ended up with my BIL and he liked em.

My MB3 plan has always been to bury them for at LEAST a year.
The MB3s I have left now are from Spring, 2014, and they are vey good imo...........but they’re also prolly 5 years old now.

That said...............for me, as far as deals go in 2019.........$60 for 20 MB3s versus $70 for 20 MC3 Roxxos?
Roxxos for the win...

Not a bad cigar at the deal price but I only bought the deal once. Always seemed to turn harsh and acidic in the last half. Just a shadow of the MB1 which were stellar.

I like the MB3s, use them for golfing smokes (other cheap maduros work too). Haven't had any in a while cause I ran out.

IMO, the better deal is the Nocturnal Beast deal.

Those Monticellos are really good.

But that deal isn't on sale right now, I think when they put it on sale it's $70 instead of $80.

Some decent stuff over there in the 3-5 range. Never had an MC3, but I do like the AOK and Chief.

I like them, great price too. Just picked up a bundle.

Thanks for the heads up, King. I saw the email this morning and just figured it was gonna be their standard sampler sale, so didn't bother to check.

Especially when you figure in free shipping, if you like the MB3 as I do, this is one of the best deals on the net. Hard to find a really good cigar for $3 these days. They are not the best cigar I smoke, but the ones I have have always been quite good and well made.

I would agree some others around there that I do think the smaller sizes are significantly better and that the torp is my least favorite of them. Would like to hear what vitola people that had the "dry" comments above were smoking as I notice more differences between the different sizes with MB3's than many other cigars.

Personally, I would much prefer 20 of the Robustos, but I still think they are all worth $3.

Now given that I still have a good supply in the coolador from previous sales (they do rest well) and that I just sprung for the Roxxos and some CCs, I actually passed on the deal this time.
