The last 2 you listed are kind of non-utilitarian IMO compared to the others. In particular the .300 and .458.

The .300 is a much slower round than a .223 and packs a helluva punch, and is a round PERFECTLY suited for a suppressor.

The .458 rounds fit into a .223 mag with ZERO CONVERSION and the rifle itself is just the upper exchange. This is a VERY popular round for feral hog hunting and for the enthusiastic people it’s a cheaper alternative to shooting a semi auto Barret .50

Both of these rounds are most commonly used on an AR platform, though I have a friend that has a single shot bolt action .300 with a threaded barrel....

Fully agree! I always like the mentality of have a gun or 3 that will shoot what is laying on the ground, because there will be plenty of it, and that would be 9MM, 45ACP, 7.62X39, .308, .223, and 12 Ga, +/- a few others, all day long.
