I’d PM Shana and see which evening she’s available for fine dining.

It doesn't matter which day you go, the main event is identical. Your choice will involve:

1. Which day is better for me?
2. Which day's supplemental events do I like better? (see event schedule at website).
3. Which day has available tickets left to purchase?

Also, bring good foam earplugs (sporting goods stores and Wal-Mart have them), because typically the band is playing and is amplified to very loud volume levels in the food tent while you're eating.

Hope that helps!

Eh, I figured it was too long and had answers to stuff you didn't ask.

I've found that most people dislike long posts with a lot of detail. They want short and very little detail. I don't understand it, but that's how most people are, go figure.

If you're interested though, the gist of the stuff I deleted was:

1. Get the basic 2:30 PM entry ticket, the earlier-entry options (12:30 PM and 10:30 AM, if I remember right) aren't worth the extra money for what you get.

2. They keep jacking the ticket prices up yearly at rates FAR beyond the rate of inflation.

3. Once the basic 2:30 PM entry ticket breaks $200, my buddies and I aren't going anymore, because a pretty large percentage of the sticks you get are "meh" sticks to pad the total count. It looks like this may be our last year, as the 2:30 PM ticket price is $190 this year, if I remember right. Next year it'll be over $200.

All just my opinion, of course. If you'd like to know anything else, just ask!

Shana is an employee of CBid......one of our minataurs here......

You treat them well, thus I said fine dining. Doesn’t mean a date, she’s too classy for you anyways trust me. Does your wife understand “cigar people”? Because I’ve had loved ones get blown away that every time we meet a cigar buddy literally anywhere in the US it’s always the same. Kind weirdos just like me. Just usually a different type of weirdo......my point is if she understands cigar people then it’s a friendly adventure not an attempt at a ménage à trois. And that’s really insulting to insinuate that with Shana as she is every bit a lady.

This will be our 13th year going to CigarFest. Both days are pretty much the same. Saturday seems to sell out faster, since most people work on Friday, but they will sell out quickly also.

Whatever you do, if you are planning on staying at Split Rock for the weekend, make sure you call Monday right after you buy your tickets to make reservations. They do book all the rooms quickly.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Howdy! Depends on your schedule which day is better, because they both offer the same things. The only difference with the ticket options is getting into the fest 2-4 hours before hand. Some people like getting in early as your not dealing with a few thousand people at 2:30, gives you the rest of the afternoon to herf, etc.

I won't be at the fest this year, but I will be at the 191 store this Saturday, February 2nd, helping with ticket sales. If coming to the store, come early. I have talked to fellas who herf for hours before we open. Dress warm as temps are going to be in the teens.

Say hello if anyone sees me! Herfing

Hey Shana, I thought CigarBid was supposed to tongue-in-cheekly pretend it's not CI. You're a CigarBid employee who's going to be working at a CI store doing CigarFest ticket sales? You're breaking character a bit!

You guys don't try TOO hard to hide it though. That emoji you used? It's the CI logo, and the forum code to make it is "CI" surrounded by square brackets. Terrible job of hiding the link, I tellya!

The extra $100 gets extra raffles so is that worth it?

I understand the extra $100 gets me in 4 hours earlier and breakfast. 4 hours earlier and breakfast is not worth it but maybe the raffles… please help

"Meh" is something people say when they're underwhelmed. In this context, it means mediocre sticks. Just-okay ones that don't have a ton of flavor and don't really impress. Stuff you wouldn't buy unless you're new to the hobby.

You do get some world-class sticks too, but a significant percentage is "meh" sticks. The total haul of sticks, good and mediocre, is worth different dollar amounts to different people, but as I said, once they cross the $200 mark on the cheap late-entry ticket, I'm done, and there are a LOT of other guys like me.

However if they go above $200 and eliminate the "meh" filler sticks and make them all good, then that's a different story. I'd pay more for that.

If you've never heard it, go on YouTube or wherever, and look up Adam Sandler's song (from one of his comedy CDs) titled "Piece Of S**t Car". You'll die laughing. It's a classic.

meh = The x-wife / 1.5

Hell Naw = The x-wife * 1

I would rather cut off my balls with a blunt rock = The x-wife * 1.5

The first year we went, it was only $90. An extra $90 for two parties that were all you could drink, and pretty much smoke.

It has been down hill since then, and a lot more expensive. The best part there were less people and we didn't order our tickets until March, and they were still available.

CigarFest® is back, the herf to end all herfs! This annual mega event features 20+ top cigar makers with samples of their finest blends — including the industry’s biggest and brightest cigar stars. In case you’ve missed the first three events, you’re in for a spine tingling surprise. Before setting foot on the show floor you’ll get a humidor stuffed to the gills with about 20 premium cigars....more than worth the price of admission alone! Then the floor is yours, with access to 20+ additional cigars, micro-brew samples, live music, a down-home pig roast, raffles, prizes, and 2,000 fellow CI cigar lunatics having a grand old time.
So mark your calendar and join us once again for this incredible weekend of camaraderie, cigar smoking, eating, drinking and all-around debauchery. CigarFest® will sell out, so order your tickets soon. See you there!

Featuring:
 Top cigar manufacturers with samples of their finest brands
 Meet the top makers in the business
 Cigar rollers demonstrating the art of cigar making
 Sample some of the top micro-brews in the country
 Taste some of the world’s top spirits
 Live music plus a down-home pig roast!
 Raffle prizes throughout event benefiting non-profit LifePath
 Amazing "show-only" special deals available for purchase
 You’ll leave with a humidor (and duffel bag) full of cigars!
All for only $90 per ticket!

Rocky Patel Opening Party

The Rocky Patel Opening Party is from 10pm to 2am on Friday, May 4th. Tickets are only $50
Only 250 tickets available! Tickets for this event can be added to your shopping cart after purchasing your CigarFest® ticket.

As always, we like to end CigarFest with a bang. The CAO crew is taking control in 2007, bringing you an open bar, cigars, Flavourettes and live music. What better way to put an exclamation point on the world's best damn Herf? Be there.
The CAO “Cinco de Mayhem” Blowout Party runs 9pm to 1am on Saturday, May 5th. Tickets are just $40.

Interesting, a call to customer service also indicated no purchase but screen says the sales was complete and confirmation will be emailed with 24 hours...that was 2 days ago. And I understand that happened to a couple people.

And anybody know the breakdown of the 3000 tickets? Seems the GA sell out so quickly, there might be more VIH and Megaherfer tickets being sold, which based on the pricing tier I understand why.
