A ton (literally) of BBQ pellets for the smoker. If you buy them in that kind of bulk, they're less than half the price per 40 pound bag. So... I ordered 50 bags. 50 x 40 = 2000, plus the pallet and wrapping material.

I have a number of friends who have pellet smokers and they will buy the bags from me, so I'll get a lot of the money back.

I'm keeping 10 bags, one friend wants 12... and I'll sell the rest for $20-$25 a bag (I'm paying $16.40 per).

Set another record today.

Had our first Gridlife argument at home today. Wife HATES it with every fiber of her being and is not shy about making it known. I said "there's a Gridlife event in California this weekend" and she threw a fit about my "vacations" already. Its January. Gonna be a long year.

Yesterday, the Coast Guard had to rescue seven ice fishermen, in 30 below wind chills.

The government continues with their anti-Darwinism policies, to the continued cost to our society.

I'm gonna ask the dumb question...

Why did they need rescuing? I thought warmer weather would create a higher risk. Did they actually fall through the ice?

They drove their utv out to an ice shanty a mile out onto the water. When the windchill got down to -30, it wouldn't start.

Four different agencies were called in. Each of them with their lives in danger saving these idiots.

They should charge every penny, and a 15% gratuity.

Opel,
What is your vocation?

Fking lazy sconnies. If they're dressed to sit in a shack for hours in that weather, they can walk a mile back to their car.

The kids have turned what was supposed to be the new fish pond into what they claim will eventually be a profitable gold mining project... I'm also told there's the possibility of dinosaur bones but they might not sell for much... Think

As many of you know, I grew up in RI... where occasionally Narragansett Bay would freeze solid enough you could drive a car on it.

Don't. Be. Stupid.

That is all...

Wife's outta town. Just the boy n me at home.

The storm door froze open. Had to go outside to remove the struts so I could close it. The pins too small to get with gloves on.

3 minutes max, and my hands were frozen.
