No. Not in good conscience.

Ah, the isla del sol... My suggestion, if you enjoy the taste and aroma of burning tires and midget taint so much, is that you visit a circus in Kentucky... Better but similar experience... The whole state smells like burning tires and the midget taint under the big top really infiltrates your olfactory's...

Try the CI Legends by Drew Estate (formerly known as the "Copper Label" back when the Legends line had differently-colored bands).

They have a hazelnut and amaretto sort of flavor. Heavier and better filled, also better constructed and has better flavor than Isla Del Sol.

Try them before the FDA bans them, along with all other flavored cigars (including Isla Del Sol), which is probably coming very soon.

Ace,
The JAVA maduro, by Drew estate, is the way to go.
Pricey, but for the type of cigar you are asking about, it's the best.

This noob doesn't write for over 9 months.......and you're not even worried?

Furthermore, you know that the only way this noob is going to "broaden his experience" is via a camping trip with Z...

Well if your going to continue the flavored/infused cigar route, try the Naturals by Drew Estate as well as the Sweet Jane.

Ok, I know what forum not use from now on. Thought if I asked a question on a cigar forum I would get responses that would help. Apparently I was wrong.

Thanks for nothing.

Opel has a valid point.
You got a 20% “real” response rate for a noob first post........without an introduction no less.

That’s TWICE the going rate.
Put your jacket on and hang around. This is the best cigar Forum around...........period.

Isla del Sol is one of the worst cigars I've ever bought from a shpo. Smelled and tasted worse than a gas station cigar. Picked up 3 (among a lot of other smokeable cigars) while on vacation with the in laws. We killed my traveldor pretty quickly and had two days of fishing and stuff left so I went to a shpo and refilled the traveldor.

Even my father in law who smoked Dutch Masters and Garcia Vegas at the time commented on how bad it was - but still finished his. Mine poisoned the fish after about 5 puffs.

The smell still haunts me.

Welcome to the asylum, and go to n00b pib and post an intro....and that's about the ratio of answers when you ask a question here....about 30% serious and 70% heckling... put on a thick coat and enjoy the ride....Beer

You will get answers, you just need to decide if they're the right answers....I've never smoked Isla del Sol, but based on some of the answers you got, they don't sound all that good, but your the one smoking them, and if you like them, smoke them up....
Smoke what you like, and like what you smoke...Herfing

Now, you’re not gonna get a lot of love/ advice regarding infused cigars around here.........most of us don’t smoke them............but some do.
My bet is in a year or two, you won’t smoke them much, if at all.
That said, as noted, there are those who like the Jucy Lucy and the Java Maduro, as well as the Acid Blondie and the “Natural Dirt”..........which has some non traditional tobaccos in it.

After 7 years or so on the forum, we still make fun of King's car - it would be much worse if he said he liked infused cigars.

Ace,
Don't listen to the spoiled rich kids, who only smoke $200 cigars, lit with $100 bills! They're bullies and snobs.
Stand up to 'em, poke 'em in the eye, wave yer Isla Del Sol under they're noses and tell them you'll smoke what you like and make no apologies!

Seriously, if you like it, smoke it.

Thanks Mamdoman! I always say if you haven't tried something you cant bitch about it. For those with what is classified as having "better taste" I did bid on some Cohiba Black Robustos yesterday. Do I get my man card back???

I think there are differing views. Personally I'm trying everything anyone ever bothered to wrap a tobacco leave around. Otherwise, how will I know for sure?
