The 2 times Brady got beat by the Giants, it was due to the interior pass rush. If Donald and Suh get to him early, I think the Rams will win.

All things being equal, I think it would be a tall order for Goff to beat a defense prepared by Belichik.

In deference to Frank and Al... I'm not gonna pick a winner.

The only good thing that "may happen when the patriots win"
Is Brady "may" retire ...going out as a winner...and not a loser...

Which would be fantastic for the sport of American football...

though of course...

brady could get a big head like their owner Robert kraft "the joker" who wears purple suits and sneakers and likes patting himself on the back at "pre-game celebrations"
Like two years ago? When they lost their first season game right after that hokey & forced bragging ceremony of celebration...and stay another year to pad his retirement account a little more...( he has learned from all the "me too" loser guys that had millions , stretched to the max with 4++ houses and every toy imaginable...then lost their jobs and their yearly incomes like CHARLIE Rhodes, Matt Lauer, etc. Etc....)

I do think this game is the Patriots to lose. They have so many guys that have been there done that...…..just another game to them.

Rams on the other hand are already in a flat spin due to pregame hoopla distractions. We'll know how well they handled this in the first half.Hopefully by the time the Rams realize the game has started the Pats will be up by 21.

Rams youth and speed get them up early, maybe even at halftime. Then, the inevitable happens.

Similar to Gravity. You can beat it for a bit, but it wins in the end.

Go Patriots!!!!Applause Applause ....and no matter when Brady retires, I have a feeling he and Giselle will have the fundage needed to carry on.....they may need to tighten up the old purse strings, but they'll do OK...Anxious

pass rush up the middle true, but also one miracle pass completion down the stretch in each game for Eli

That whole play with Tyree was a miracle. Eli shoulda been sacked and how the heck do you catch a ball using your helmet?

Manningham’s catch was indeed a super catch and the key play on that winning drive.

an unbiased football fan would have to say that Eli's pass to Manningham was one of the greatest ever. Simply dropped it into a tiny pocket, truly amazing.

And that was the last catch ever for Tyree!

Didn’t know that about Tyree.

So here’s a question - is Eli a Hall of Famer?

well, it may be the easiest HOF of all for enshrinement, and he has been a good QB. The question may be how does one ignore a two-time Super Bowl winner?

61 more tds than interceptions, and two rings.

Considering another HOF QB has 26 more interceptions than tds, only one ring, then Eli is in.

Eli also is in the slack-jawed, mopey, whiny, family tree could be more like a pole HOF. First ballot with Jay Cutler.

Different strokes for different folks.

Love the defensive battle. Not quite like the “old days” but will mean that all 3 phases of the game will be important.

There is so much beauty in a well game planned defensive battle that to many, the game looks boring.
It’s all a matter of perspective.

CBS sends in some blackhaired munchkin Italian broad to interview Brady in that center field mosh pit...they finally give Brady and the munchkin broad room...then she asks him a question in a barely audible scratchy rasp voice ( caused by a week of NFL "MEMBERS" in her throat dumping loads in her yak...)
What a mistake ....thAt waS... . .. ...... . .

All the pink hat sissies think it's boring when a stout defense takes the field?

Game was freakin' tied in the fourth quarter.

Boo hoo if you need a homerum derby to keep your interest.

Great game.
It wasn't 3 downs and punt. Pats crossed midfield enough times to make it a blowout, but the Rams stepped it up much like Belichick's old "bend don't break" style.

GOAT had a 4th quarter game winning drive.
Again.

Boring?

Sure. If you hate defense and a sense of history.

Go watch a rerun of the Rams/Chiefs game from mid season.
Video game numbers are BAD for the game.
It makes the casual "fan" think it's required to be a good game.

And to my new friends at Panama Joe's in Long Beach:
It's the PATRIOTS HOUSE!!!

Who won, I just woke up from the boredom Sarcasm

Pats are hands down greatest franchise of my lifetime and Tom Brady is the GOAT and it is not even close anymore.

Felt like McVay outsmarted himself and forgot he had one of the most dynamic players in the league on his roster. CJ Anderson may have been hot coming into the game but Gurley is just better. In a game for all the marbles I would have found a way to get the only player on my team that can change the game the ball either on the ground or if that is not working than through the air.

Wade Phillips coached a great game though, showed McVay fans that age does count for something. Almost sad he gets no credit for the game being a defensive struggle because nobody thinks about the DC when it's Belichick vs McVay.

On a side note, Goff looked exactly like Trubisky to me in the game and maybe even worse with his decision making (not a compliment at all even though I am a Bears fan). Not sure that he is that good or the team around him played that well this year.

Cooks couldn't make a coupla catchable TD passes that woulda changed the game...

but hats off to the Pats for the longest stretch of dominance in a professional sport since the Celtics of the 50-60's...Massholes've been tearing the hearts out of L.A. fans since I was born...
