Three days ago, it was 4 degrees and there was snow on the ground.
Today, it's a bright sunny balmy 56 degrees.
Nice enough to make me think about washing the car.
(After thinking about it, lazy bastid that I am, I decided not to ! )

Funny how it goes. Was 63 here yesterday and I had to have a jacket on to have a cigar on the patio. Prolly the frost threat has passed and time to plant the tomatoes.

Morning bur...

Haven't been assigned a case yet, but I think it's safe to say - based on the average mood of the jury room - guilty...

Just sing a few bars of:

Now justice is the one thing you will always find,
You gotta saddle up your boys, ya gotta draw a hard line :-"

Kept me off many juries.

Snow/hail yesterday...
26 degrees on my back porch early this morning...

The end is near...

Just hoping it warms up enough to have one more cigar.

Neighbor was out when I went out back to get eggs and asked what was that noise last night. Told him I shot a possum. He said there's been one living under his deck been trying to trap all winter. Hopefully it was the same one

Can a Red Rider break the skin on a possum? Me and my cousins used to shoot at eachother with those things when we were young, and didn't break skin.

We did the same. Lived in a rural area as a kid and all my friends had BB guns. Everyone wore Levis and you were not allowed to shoot above the waste. Rules got violated on occasion due to running targets though.

So, I'm sitting watching a car auction on TV with my son-in-law, and a Delorean comes up for bid.
My SIL says,
"Ooooooooooh, a Delorean. I'd like to have one of those some day. I'd drive it from time to time."

Similar. Pump BB guns, wore motorcycle helmets with visors. Three pump max rule. Inevitably, you'd hear somebody pump it a fourth time. At that point, the only rule was out the window.

That's how I got a bb stuck in my right asscheek.

We always shot at eachother with the low power spring action guns like the Red Ryder and then someone busted out the pumper gun and cranked it up. Popped me in the butt. Went through my overalls and under the skin. Didn't tell our parents and there's still a firm lump under my skin there 30 years later. Could just be a scar as I picked at it a lot trying to get the bb out, or the bb might still be there.

I had a Crosman 2100 Classic 10 pump bb/pellet gun when I was a kid. Got the same one for my kid... and I still have that one.
