Morning all, bad ice storm last night. Roads spotty this morning. All or most should melt off by days end.

Pass.................have several friends and neighbors in your biz (Pelican Bay being down the road a bit)...
Tough job with a good dose of residual stress....
Heck, back when I was living in the Bay Area, had a good friend who was a dispensing nurse at Soledad...............and even he finally quit cause of the stress.

I'm gaining on you.

-You work 12 hours a day, working in the company of delusional patients.
-I've been working for delusional mid level executives at a company.

At my company the majority of delusion comes from on high (Prez, VPs etc), raining insanity down upon us lowly front line supervisor types

the King Ram. Good morning.

Our company is going through a Lean Transfermation. Make problems visible, go to the work, talk with the people about the issues they face. Problem Statement, Assessing the Current State, etc.

Lower level leaders are embracing it. A few of those above that level see it as robbing them of their power.

We'll either become a happy, healthy, profitable baby 18 months from now, or a 39 week abortion.

I used to eat around the same time....but since Z suggested I try this intermittent fasting thing, I now wait until 16 hours after my last bite from the night before...if I have some popcorn watching a movie at 10PM, I have a miserable day following....from around 11 until 2, anyway

I've already dropped the 10 pounds I gained over the holidays doing this very thing. I weighed myself this morning... 189 lbs.

I eat between 3:30pm-11:30pm each day (since I work nights). It isn't really that difficult, since I'm asleep for half of the 16 hours. It's supposedly good for your glucose/insulin levels.

I've been eating one meal a day this week with no snacks... Probably losing weight I can't afford to lose... So I'm at in n out...

I dunno. I make sure I eat 3 meals a day. I used to eat less... But that was supplementing dinner with a couple beers after exercise. I suspect that would count as eating.

And you sleep 8 hrs? I look at a 16hr fast as at minimum 10 hours of being awake and hungry.

I'm not dropping much weight. Still a fatazz at 216. But I'll be damned if I'm a hungry fatazz.

Intermittent fasting is growing in popularity.... Rogan talks about it on the podcast a lot, so that helps...

I listened to Joe Rogan on a Neil degrass Tyson podcast. I don't know if he's necessarily the person to be taking dietary advice from.

(Not that any "celebrity" is)

Hmm... Did a little reading.
Doesn't seem as bad as I thought. (Still not going to do it myself. It's hard enough not to kill the woman at 9pm after the gym. If I were starving myself I would have to look for a dump site for the body really soon).

There is an interesting study which suggests long term pancreatic issues. And a distribution of fat to the gut...

But hell... If someone is dieting they probably already have fat on their gut and prediabetes... So it probably won't hurt them.
