My great grandfather was the Sexton of a local cemetery and I’ve seen and helped the burial process on that end. This is just terrible.

That is a level of depravity beyond my comprehension.

Appalling disrespect and thievery.

That said, when I'm dead, I really won't care what happens to my carcass, but if someone is to profit, it better be my heirs.

Gene, your family will care. The families of the deceased are the ones in pain now.

True, I was expressing my thoughts about my on dead body. Still, when you're dead, you're dead and you don't need your body any longer if it can be of use all the better. One reason I have always signed up to be an organ donor. Nevertheless, some families insist on burying an intact body, it just make no sense to me.

this is terrible.....but, did I read wrong, or did they say this is not illegal, just unethical? Gonna be tough to win a lawsuit if there's no law being violated...

Al much of what they did is illegal, the article was written by the “press” so you gotta keep in mind they never see a problem that cannot be fixed by regulation, permits and licenses.

What they were referring to was operating a funeral home without. License (not necessary at the time in Colorado) and having the organ donor shop in back of the funeral home (now illegal in Colorado).

OK, gotcha...it is a situation that seems wrong, begs to be exploited, and shouldn't be legal...
