Been ordering from this site for almost 10yrs and been a member of the board since 2010, and for the first time received a tax letter for Sales and Use Tax for purchases this past year equaing almost 10% in State and Local Taxes plus an additional 40% in Use Tax due to the State.

A great big WTF!!! No previous warning upon check-out of this new tax policy. Reminds me of the bullsh*t Dan Walsch of L'Atelier and his website pulled years ago, and probably still does!

What benefit is there in ordering from this site if at the end of the year I have to pay a lump sum equaling the same over-taxed price as I would if I purchased in my own State???

The war on tobacco continues!
Fuq'n MJ is cheaper and taxed less! Guess I'll have to coordinate with a brother in another State to have my cigars shipped to, so he can then ship to me to avoid the over-reaching arms of our tax-happy guberment. The extra shipping costs will still be cheaper than the God damn taxes. Or I'll just buy CC's from oversees to avoid all taxes. The International charge by the credit card companies is still cheaper than the taxes!

The place in NH was doing it without legal challenge a long time ago, I think a big part is the state you’re in.

You can cover it with the big refund you'll get from the lower Federal taxes.

haven't done my taxes yet, but all sources I've seen/heard from media to gov to conversation seems to be saying dollar amount of returns is averaging close to 10% less this year.

also, many Americans started to spend the extra dollars they were "netting" a little too soon. helped the economy briefly, but now the bill is due...final results may be a wash for the majority of Americans and the economy.

I generally just hope to break even every year. refunds are my dollars I did not get to use from month to month.

I won't do my taxes until mid March. I suspect it'll be less... but I got to keep more each payday, so likely equal.

You're not supposed to tell them about the capital gains. That's how they get you

Shame on you

DED: You were supposed to move into the house and then sell it as a personal residence with no taxes.

Noob.

Yeah. But it was a summer escape house up in Prescott. I'm not spending 2 years of winters there so I can claim it.
