Had one of the MC3 sticks. Good, but not nearly as good as Chief Cool Arrow, which is at the same price point (at the MB3 place). But, I like strength and body and nic-hit, so maybe that explains it, as the CCA has more of that. Also CCA is a 5-nation blend (3 of them ligeros including the wrapper!) vs. 3-nation for the MC3, and I do like complexity. Everyone's palate is different though.

Just guessing here, but that agreement may have taken the form of "sell the remaining boxes on clearance but never under $80 each" or similar language, because I'm noticing a consistent $80-per-box "floor" on the prices. $4/stick price floor would protect the brand somewhat, at least.... it's better than the brand image/reputation damage that'd come with $2 a stick, for example!

Yes, but will they be anything like, and anywhere nearly as good as, the original releases? If the history of the cigar industry is any guide, that's usually doubtful. Also, they're obviously guaranteed to be years younger in age.
