If a report came out yesterday and said Trump didn't do anything, they would dismiss the report and question the validity.
They already are doing this. Kinda like hedging their bets.
you're trying to have it both ways, as usual...
the cons, from the very start, have been supporting Trump's denials of anything relating to Russia and his campaign, saying the Mueller investigation is a hoax...despite proof of Russian contacts, or lies about them, by members of the Trump campaign are revealed in criminal court... the cons have supported Trump's continuous effort to discredit the Mueller investigation, the intelligence agencies, the FBI...hedging their bets...
even Giulani is now at the edge, conceding there may have been collusion by the Trump campaign, but not by Trump himself, as you so deftly stated...
if you are correct that the Mueller investigation will say there is no evidence against Trump, the right will embrace the findings, ignoring their initial position that the investigation is an illegitimate abuse of biased DOJ operatives...I guess the right will just say biased people can do something right on occasion...
then it will be interesting to watch the right rehabilitate the perception of our intelligence and justice officials that have been trashed in the process...
speaking for myself, if the Mueller investigation says there is no evidence of any Trump involvement with Russian efforts to influence the 2016 elections, I will accept the results...it has already proven that his campaign was a disgraceful enterprise...
"there is no evidence" is a different finding than "exoneration"...
