Anyone try these? Whistle? Puddin?
As good as the Roxxo?.......or does this fat vitola screw up the blend?

Been doing Puddin’s “smoking math”, and the Monstro is a great deal if it’s close to the quality of the Roxxo, so thinking about pulling the trigger........have less than 24 hours to decide.
The Roxxos are back on as well, free ship.......but no hat........I want a stinkin hat!

You find yourself frequenting this place more than auctions these days? I've all but given up bidding in favor of the deals they've got... Less hassle...

Yes.
I use cbid and the other place for certain staples.
MB3 for specialty items, typically closeouts. They get some good stuff in now and again, and good prices, with free shipping almost all the time.........and sometimes pretty cool freebies to sweeten the pot even more.

.
Never had the 5x60 Monsto size, sorry. I had an MC3, but not in that size.

Haven't gotten any boxes of the MC3 yet because I just find it hard to buy them at $80 when I like Chief Cool Arrow better at around the same price ($85 for the Ranfla when on sale). MC3 is a 3-nation blend, CCA is 5-nation, more complex and a noticeably more enjoyable experience to me overall.

I'd buy some MC1, which are supposed to be tastier than MC3, but I hate tiny vitolas like 4x42, and that's all that's left in MC1.

Wait for the hat! I could've had a lifetime supply of Holt's hats if I'd waited and bought all my CCA's during the hat deal, instead of just two boxes! Argh!

Opel, yeah, I don't do standard auctions here anymore, too much of a PITA to use the only sane and optimal method (which I've described elsewhere, basically place a schittload of lowball bids right at midnight and see which 3-5% of them actually work). Why go through all that when MB3 place has scorching deals like these, and you can just click, buy, and go on with your life?

The freefalls here that drop really low can be great and convenient too. Just eyeballing for awhile, then click, buy, go on with your life. The trick is to find the ones that drop really low.

I’ve had the Filerokee, Ranfla and the MC3 Roxxo, bought boxes of each, a few boxes of the MC3 Roxxo.
I like Roxxo best, then Filerokee and then the Ranfla.
Think I’m just gonna have to take a chance and get the Monstro with my Roxxo order.

Wonder which of these will run out first, the MC3s or the CCAs?

I have yet to smoke a cigar with a 60 ring gauge or larger that I enjoyed....I think having to open my jaw a bit changes the experience for me...anything larger than 56 RG does that...

Think
Well when ya put it that way...........I started thinking about the few cigars I’ve smoked in 60rg, that I’ve also smoked in smaller RGs.
And in almost every case, the 60RG wasn’t as good.
Although I used to like the Diesel Shorty, and still smoke MUWAT 5x60s that I bought a few years back, and I like them quite a bit. So was just hoping that maybe the MC3 in 5x60 was great, but...................probably isn’t.
Now I gots to rethink my purchase!

A little tip... If you like free shipping but don't like the slowness of free shipping, call your order in... I use either overnight or 2 day, and if you qualify for free shipping, they'll knock $5 off any other form of shipping you want... Doesn't happen with online orders, only phone orders... But they're super chill over there and ordering is simple...

So,
20 old Henry pure breed Toro's
5 old Henry pure breed robusto's
6 tat belicoso's

$150 with 2 day shipping... There was a time when I would've considered that a not so great deal...but these days I've come to realize I don't mind paying more to a) avoid the auction game, b) get the size I want instead of settling for what's available, and c) get something pepin-rolled...

Smoking a robusto right now... It's not my favorite cigar, but I put it above a lot of other stuff at the $4ish price point... The Don pepin's with the blue label and Jaime Garcia's and the regular Flor de las antiles for instance... Not quite as good as the fdla maduro, most the my father stuff, etc...

I've smoked a few of the old Henry robusto's and a few of the toro's now... Rarely happens with me, but the robusto is the clear winner... It's stronger for one... Flavors are muted with the toro for whatever reason and draw feels ever so slightly looser than the robusto... Still like both for what they are... And I like the old Henry finger ash tray freebie...
