This (USA/NK) is a big deal.
Our heads of state had never met previously. It's now happened twice, with some very obvious demands by both sides. It doesn't happen overnight, yet the media makes it look like a failure, futile, or worse.
This is Trump actually playing the role of POTUS.
If we get even half way to the goal line, it's a victory for everyone.

Hoping and assuming there are lower level discussions at work in the shadows and what we are seeing is just window dressing.

I'd be surprised if you believed Trump when he said if he wasn't elected we were definitely headed to all out war with NK
China pulls the strings over there anyway,
NK is one of the worst of many countries in which grotesque human rights abuses occur. I'd much prefer our efforts aimed at that, in NK and other places.
60 years without any real reason to fear NK. Haven't heard a real reason to start yet.
