Any of you use LifeLock for credit monitoring?

My credit cards have been hacked 4 times in 2 years, happened again yesterday, thankfully it was caught early every time and my liability has been minimal. I'm thinking, now that they have me in their system, it's only a matter of time before one of those scamsters tries to buy a car or house or file a false tax return with my info.
Should I just lock/freeze my credit with the big 3 or is it worth the monthly charge to "monitor" it instead. All feedback will be greatly appreciated!

I can't say for sure on lifelock itself. I did work with someone a few years back that said freezing your credit is unusually difficult to reverse, so I've always shied away from it.

There you go. Second hand half advice. How's that for some quality feedback?

Lock your credit with all 3 credit score companies...

Its way easier unlocking for a mortgage or car loan than you think... And way easier than letting a gang of Nigerian DUECES in LAGOS buying cars and H.U.T.S. IN YOUR NAME and sticking you with the bills, Then trying to reverse or cancel those charges.

IIRC, Lifelock, or maybe it was a different one...wasn't so much about monitoring...or alerting....it was about recovery. So it has to be subscribed to BEFORE you get hit.

I can temp freeze (and unfreeze) my cards at my bank's online site in about 3 minutes

This.. had my identity stolen a few years ago. Took me months to clean up. Of the 20+ fraudulent charges, I was able to clear all of them but 450$. Someone had bought a car, lots of electronics, jewelry, clothing. I got copies of the credit apps, and none of them had my correct name, address or birthday. Just my social.

Locked that sucker down, and no more issues.

Thanks to Target ( who I hadn't had an open account with in over 20 years) for calling my cell, which was still on file, to confirm an application.

My mom said it was good advice. She said her and pa have not had no issues since they switched.

I appreciate the help fellas! Applause
Did the freeze on all 3, a little time consuming but fairly easy and free. If I understand correctly, that will keep anyone from being able to apply for new credit with my ss# but if I want to protect or keep watch on my bank accounts and active credit lines I will still need a monitoring service. Hopefully the Bear will be able to help me with that.
