Asylum 13 Corojo 8x80 giant tree trunks - opinions?

.
Have any of you guys tried the "Asylum 13 Corojo 880", which is a massive 8x80 tree trunk of a cigar by Christian Eiroa of Camacho fame?

If so, do you think they're worth $5.92 each?

Is the 8x80 size a terrible idea and a bad gimmick, or is it legit? Does the massive size cause problems that make it not worth bothering with? How are the flavors and burn and construction? Etc. etc.

My Xikar X875 can handle cutting 80-ring cigars, but 8 inches by 80 ring just seems ludicrous to me. Seems like it'd take 3-4 hours to smoke!

Thanks guys!

I think people feel they're getting value from a cigar of that size but it's just simply unpleasant when it comes down to it.
You won't be getting any of that delicious wrapper flavor from something like that. All binder and filler.
80 rg is just a monstrously as well. Your mouth/jaw will not appreciate that.
I hate the fact that all these companies have jumped on the bandwagon to make these sized cigars and I don't prefer to smoke anything over a 54 rg myself.
Only smoke I can recommend with a larger rg would be the LFD Digger. It's a 60 rg but definitely the best out of the bunch as far as I'm concerned. Herfing

Is it a gimmick? I believe common sense would tell us that it is most certainly is a gimmick. I have no idea why anyone would buy these or even the Digger. 80rg, just think about that.....the only way I would even think it is smokeable is if it were a perfecto tip which I am pretty sure the Asylum 13 is not. I would stay away because the value these are worth is $0.

I like Asylum a lot, but unless you're masochistic or just enjoy long fat things in your mouth this is just overboard. I have seen a couple people try them. I just can't imagine enjoying smoking them. Hunt down the 5x50 instead

I've liked the older Asylum cigars including the not so old 13 which I smoked in the 6x60 size. More recently I smoked some Insidious 7x64 which were not impressive. Whether the 80 ring 13 is as good as the 60 rings may be the question, but after the Insidious I'm reluctant to buy any of the larger ring Asylum offerings. One problem I had with that 6x60 13 (in 2013) was that I punched it and it built up tar and got rather bitter - I clipped it and the bitterness went away

I like the Asylum 13, especially the Ogre, but I ONLY smoke the 5" x 50. The last 6" x 60 I tried to smoke lasted 2 hours. If I have that much time available for cigars, I rather smoke 2 different Robs/Coronas etc.
