I've been a vocal opponent to building a $6B+++ wall along our southern border.
I want a systematic change that would make entering illegally a waste of time.
No shirt, no shoes, no visa, NO DICE.

But who would know better than the slimy thieves and cheaters themselves, right?
Seems there is an "uptick" in illegal border crossings recently. Record highs.
Because they fear a wall will be built.
Which would make it more difficult to enter.
Which is odd, because joe liberal and the democrats and MSM have been using terms like "ineffective" and "old technology" to describe a border barrier.

My MSN news feed yesterday had a NYT article that stated that there really is a crises at the border. I've been all over the NYT page, and it seems to have vanished into thin air. hmmmmm.

Just like the workers that built the great pyramids - they were promised a place in eternity after they were done or died - whichever came first. We could have all the would be migrants sign up for a stint of wall building whereupon you promise them access to the USA when they are done. I bet you could build a lot more wall for a lot less money.

in the 40 years of declining rates we just experienced a new high in the last eleven years...all without a wall.
without a threat of building a wall with money from Mexico, how does this prove anything?

Should we ignore the years of expertise from border patrol personnel and 98.2% of our top military people and all the border city officials?

If a wall isn't necessary to stem illegal immigration why didn't the democrat party fix it while they had congress, the parliament of whores, and the Presidency?

they did...and he said he doesn't have one...

most people, right and left, don't want the kind of wall Trump wants...the great big beautiful wall across the entire southern border...because other types of fencing would be cheaper and more effective when properly positioned in accessible areas and combined with high tech detection systems and adequate patrol and apprehension personnel...

I finally located the NYT article from 3/5/19.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/05/us/border-crossing-increase.html

Border at ‘Breaking Point’ as More than 76,000 Unauthorized Migrants Cross in a Month

Now the NYT is stating that there really is a crisis at the border, while only a few weeks ago they and their lemming readers laughed at Trump and claimed he was making the whole thing up. Do you realize that 76,000 per month is just under 1 million per year? Yes, who the hell needs a wall?

You need to think about using more streamlined dogs. Or maybe an airborne division to parachute in. Maybe greyhounds. Much betty aerodynamics than a Irish wolf hound.

True, true. I trust you to get it right. And when you do, well let's say a wall won't be so significant. But they are a German breed, can we truely trust them to be American patriots? I'm not sure they ever completely got over that 3rd borke thing.

Taco Bell is against it and so is my neighbor that has 6 families living in a single family home.

I know the next MFer that parks one of their 20 POS falling apart cars on my lawn during the hat dance party they hold every other night and wakes me up at 2 am again with that phuging La Huasteca blaring chit might catch a stray bullet. Sonsabitches won't have to worry with a wall then. Every other damn night have to call the law to get em to come out and tell em to cut that chit down. On the 6th or 7th time now and still it happens. Next time I think I will meet the police out there and tell em to start asking for green cards. See now I am done pissed and the Ranchera music ain't even started yet.

The two I had (165 lb. oversized male & 125 lb. female) where laid back lap dogs at heart. Guard the borders with South African Boerboels. Those bad boys where bred to guard against lions.

A couple towns over, folks are complaining about loud music keeping them up Sunday night. The music starts around midnight and goes to 4 - 5 in the morning. Local police can not find the source. One of the residents decided to drive across the river to Philly and check out the warehouse parking lots along the river. They found a bunch of Hispanics sitting around in lawn chairs in one of the parking lots. They had several SUVs with massive speakers in the cargo areas and stacked on the roofs blaring Hispanic music. They've complained several times to the Philadelphia Police, but they refuse to do anything. You know, sanctuary city and all.

I am telling you what. Honestly I am not going to assume they are illegals, knee jerk reaction on my part does tend to happen but then I realise the stupidity of it. I live in a black neighborhood and I love my neighbors. But, these sonsabitches and that damn 2 am music. Could you imagine me being the only white dude in the whole hood and at 2 am I decided to blare ACDC or Hank Williams. I could only imagine the talk but I know I would get my ass shot eventually no matter how close we are if not arrested after 2 or 3 times of it. It is just a matter of courtesy. Here it is during flood season and they park cars in my lawn on party nights and do not even ask. So yeah, I start yelling GREEN CARDS MFERS in hopes that it will give them headaches and worries. The daughters and the chidrens might be legal but by god granny might not be and they will have to worry about shippin her ass back and losing her share of the pension to pay rent.

Damn it, where is my BP meds. You nuts going to cause me to have a stroke before bed time!

We're going to put Yoko Ono on the border? Now HERE is an idea I think we can all agree on.

They're already in progress in San Diego replacing fencing with those 30' tall steel slats. I guess the state of CA warned local businesses not to bid on the contract, so a bidness from Texas is doing it.

maybe, but he really does have to veto to be consistent, whether right or wrong.

I could be wrong but it sounds like most GOP votes to stop him were a matter of supporting the Constitutional provision assigning the use of moneys to Congress as a way to avoid ANY President from being too powerful, a provision written with Revolutionary War wariness of the King of England's power...not necessarily a vote declaring their backing the need for this wall or not.
