told my mother the story about the card when I called her Friday...she thought it was funny.

she said that she "may not" drive again unless the numbness in her hands goes away.
I told her if her hands do feel better she should make me a sammich
luckily, she laughed again.

not just the greatest generation, but the toughest as well.

What a blessing to have your Mom around all these years.
Happiest of Birthdays to her !
And FTR . . . I thought the "save until next year" thing was funny.

Happy birthday momma Tripod. For the record, I thought it was funny. But the wife has banned me from ever picking out the birthday cards again, so what do I know

For perhaps only the second time in her life, Caren was wrong.
Herfing

And having met your mom, I think your math skills are lacking. No WAY she's got that many years behind her.

You are truly blessed, my friend.

Happy Day to Mom S. from the Tailgater clan.

I bumped into some 100th birthday stuff in the closet a while back. It was my father in law's party cups He made it to 101, but a fall and complications did him in.

Have a great dinner and look forward to a party next year.

and... we're back from the dinner bash, had a great time.

My mother is still quite stylish and my daughters love her penchant for leopard print clothing, so we were all required to wear something leopard to carry the theme of the evening...all 3 men wore leopard ties, pretty funny.

My older daughter found someone to make a cake that had a leopard like pattern on the inside, it was simply blow away to see when we cut into it...and it made my mother cry. My 5 year old granddaughter must have mentioned "the BIG surprise" (cake) a thousand times (kept saying "get ready to freak out!") but somehow refrained from spilling the beans.

Wish my father had lived to see this. He passed away at 89 and would have been 103 now, so may not have happened the way it did tonight.

You guys are great. You are always in my corner, and I thank you.

Frank
