YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE FORUMS TO PARTICIPATE!!!!!!!!!!!
(Noobs must be active for two months at the very least.)
(back to your regularly scheduled program)

ATTENTION NOOBS!!!

YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE FORUMS TO PARTICIPATE!!!!!!!!!!!

Background: This thread is designed to allow new members to get a good sampler of cigars from an experienced smoker. It also has the underlying intent of fostering the brotherhood whereas an experienced smoker provides mentorship and advice about which cigars are in (their) opinion the best out there. Listed below are “Some” specifics that will help us to get started. And lately it has been about the destruction of Noob’s mailboxes. I am interested in feedback, especially if there is something that I did not clearly articulate.

Explanation: What is the Newbie Sampler?

A specific thread where a Newbie (or anybody new to CBID) can trade for a variety of Cigars. The experienced guy would help the Newbie decide which cigars best fits his tastes based upon the feedback from the Newbie and would tell the Newbie what he would want in return for the sampler. The Newbie would get the “experienced” guy what he wanted and the "experienced" guy would send the Newbie a nice package of assorted cigars. This includes having the Newbie purchase cigars for or from you.

Benefits: Why would I want to trade with these people?

1. First and foremost, time and money will be saved by the new person.
2. The new person will receive a large variety of smokes. All of which have been well maintained and are not dog rockets.
3. Mentoring from an experienced cigar smoker.
4. A start to a good trader rep on Cbid

Mechanics: How is the trade going to work?

There will be a list of experienced smokers that I will maintain on the Newbie sampler thread. A new person would post that they are interested in getting a sampler. The experienced trader would post on the thread PM sent and reply to the Newbie. The deal would then be handled between the two people and the experienced trader would update the thread by posting Newbie trade completed with (insert tag here).
This will allow everyone to see the progress of the Newbie thread.

Summary: If the trade does not work out where both people are totally satisfied then either or both parties can contact me and I will do my best to make it right.

Remember noobs this is not in any way about how much you send to your vet, there is no need to feel like you need to impress us. This is more about trading credibility and making friends.

Have fun!!!!!!

I believe there was one noob and one vet that messaged me last time and I was waiting for the noob to put in a little more time on the boards. Resend your message about wanting to do this.

Usually there are plenty of noobs but not enough vets. So, Vets step on up to the plate when we get a few noobs willing to put their name in for this. Rumor has it that I might pick up another to the Stinger88 Harem of Noobs when I get back stateside.

Well well well...

Marcus's package started growling at me before I got the package out of the box, man is swinging a decent stick and looks like he doesn't believe in the 'ol rule of thumb.
I delayed my end to keep it from sitting in a delivery facility over the weekend, but I just had to post this.

Lots of packaging, two boxes inside a mid-ish sized box 2X+ the size of a flat rate cube. And it's heavy. Maybe vibrating or ticking.

1st box
- My Father Le Bijou toro, like these I've have only had the petite robusto
- Diamond Crown Maximus toro maduro, like these haven't had this blend for a long while
- Padron Anniversario Maduro 1926 torpedo, good blend can't go wrong with PAM
- God Of Fire Serie B 2015 Maduro, nh the maduro looking forward to that one
- Ashton VSG Sorcerer I believe, love me some VSG's

and 5 I've never had, one I had to look up Think
- Caldwell Blind Man's Bluff robusto -nh
- Laranga toro -nh
- Room 101 Chief Cool Arrow, nice looking San Andres (love it!) double perfecto -nh, never saw one before and I
really like San Andres tobacco Applause
- La Aurora Maduro corona -nh props on corona's and maduro
- Crowned Head Four Kicks robusto -nh

2nd box
Plastic bag, big lawn size sucker, paper. Good packaging to disguise something liquid and heavy. Hmmm
Get to the paper, pull off the tape, and inside is a bottle of Old Forrester 100 Rye. Never had the rye, like the OF100 bourbon. Ironically as I was going the the bomb site I was thinking about going hunting for this today, my local places don't carry the rye yet. Nice. Very very nice.
This sir is a very strong, very big hit. Been smoking cigars and there 5/10 I've never had, and one I actually had to LOOK IT UP. Well done, well done! Applause Applause Applause Applause

Whew, I wrapped that sucker up like a teenaged boy on prom night!... I sure am glad everything made it safely and you didn't end up with rye soaked stogies! Also makes me happy that I could sneak in some nh's, hope you like that CCA as much as I do. Herfing

Enjoy! Beer

Between the plastic and the paper and secondary boxes it was not only sure to make it, but more importantly also sure not to give itself away.
