Graycliff is an interesting place. Their aging vaults are worth the trip. It's been years since I was there but,
they used to have a small room where you could see maybe a half dozen rollers make cigars.

I remember the prices being rather high due to taxes and such. If you want legit Cubans you will have to go to Atlantis
but, you can get them cheaper from reputable on line vendors.

Whatever you do, do not purchase ANY cigars, NC or CC, from the street vendors, kiosks or little shops. They are fake!

Good luck!

I sense the OP knows this, but for anyone who doesn't, the Graycliffs you can buy on here and the Mothership are NOT made at the Graycliff place in the Bahamas. They are made under license by the owners of CI and Cbid. I actually have had a couple good ones in samplers from time to time but not the same as from de islands mon...

The "under-contract" CI/Cbid ones I've had have all been uniformly terrible.

One batch, the Professionale (blue band) Pirate (torpedo vitola) even said "NASSAU, BAHAMAS" right on their bands... but those may have been actually made by Graycliff in the Bahamas, NOT by someone else under contract. They were $6 each on a deep-discount sale in 2009, so maybe that specific batch WAS made by Graycliff, it's hard to say... but IMO they were just as terrible as all the others. The wrapper flaked off and they self-disassembled while smoking. Awful, all 20 of them that I bought (for $120), ugh.

So where can one get REAL Graycliffs actually made BY Graycliff in the Bahamas, NOT under-contract ones, and be SURE they're totally legit, not having to wonder? Use code-names for retailers of course... but I'd like to try a REAL one, and be totally sure it's real and not made by someone else under contract.

I don't think you can Pudding, in a long ago thread, it was mentioned that the CI team had the exclusive use of Graycliff in the US now. I think you need to know someone there on site to buy and ship them to you.

I have had some really bad ones as well but also a few good ones so no telling what's up with them. Only have gotten them as part of a sampler.

It has been for me. I usually ask for help when I go away on vacation. The reviews have been spot on foe where to go for quality cigars.
