I just recently found out that I can no longer receive cigar shipments to the state in which I live. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this too. I've considered asking a relative in another state to place an order, and then ship them to me once they receive them. But, I don't know if this is legal, and was wondering if I might get busted for doing it. BTW, this applies to all out of state retailers, not just Cigarbid. Any suggestions or past experiences with this issue would be appreciated.

Son of a cotten rock sugger!! Just moved to South Dakota (for family reasons) and just read the laws (from 2007) - I still order (and have since I moved here) from overseas without issue. Maybe time to start working the legislature to bring the taxing laws (and tobacco laws) into the 21 century!!

Sorry to hear, brother. Maryland tried to do the same thing a couple years ago but the Comptrollers office received non
stop calls so the reversed the law.

You could start the same thing but, I fear there are too many commies in your state and not enough right thinking
people to make a difference.

In the mean time if you need I would be more than happy to send you anything you win. You know, if it's sent to me
first.

Thanks for your kind offer, I really appreciate it. Actually, I just assumed I was now blocked from bidding as a result of this...But maybe not. I'll have to look into it and see. I'm sure you're aware of our history of goofy Liquor laws too. Utah has been the butt of many jokes over this. Thanks again.

Bumble Bee
I was just wondering if you might still be open to having my smokes sent to your place, and then having them sent to me. If so, let me know and then we'll proceed from there.
Thanks

Everybody get used to it. Anti tobacco lobby wants to ban all internet sales. It is one of their commandments. They will go state by state and if they can do it at fed level they would.

They also want minimum prices and no discounts on tobacco products. You should read their websites. Making poor people pay more will eliminate socioeconomic disparities. What? They mean that since poor people smoke more, pricing them out of products will eliminate this disparity!.
