If I am hearing this correctly, my state's junior Senator Ed Markey voted "Present" on the New Green Deal.

Which is odd.

Because he is the co-author with AOC.

Saying he has no balls is an insult to eunuchs everywhere.

Maybe tail doesn’t understand what really happened and why because I can’t believe he would ever be disingenuous.

Although that vote does remind me of a certain technique....

the Green New Deal was just a conversation starter, but shooting the moon to open "negotiations" has become disfavored...hope it doesn't set back the movement towards addressing climate change...

all the old FOGs who voted "no" won't be around when the real work gets done, so you have to give the newbs some credit for trying to get started...it's gonna take some time to figure out that incremental and moderate policies have better chances of building support than radical and extreme ones...

I heard this question posed on the radio by a local caller:

If man induced climate change is so time sensitive and critical that it requires immediate and expensive actions by the US, shouldn't we also consider the use of force against all nations that don't comply?

Because even if America goes bankrupt to appease AOC completely, the earth itself won't care if (when) India and China continue down the road to ruin.

So we must convince them to abide by our new regulations. And use military force if they don't.

Note: I don't share this opinion (or counter point, or whatever it is). I think our government is over reacting to begin with. Man's impact on our global climate is a small percentage. So small that none of the "consensus" cult can even agree on it.
Doesn't mean we can't do better. We need to be nice to mother nature, I agree. But the fear mongering on climate change is the oldest political ploy in the book. I'd say I'm surprised so many fall for it, but THAT would be disingenuous. And I don't want to upset TW's delicate sensitivities.

Interesting idea, I'm guessing war would come after collapsing the economy, war would be a great distraction. Declaring destroyers of the environment the new boogieman would be an easy sell to AOC supporters.

It would be weird having to fight a war when the world was ending anyhow.

But TW would sure look perty.
